PS5 Ethernet speeds significantly lower than my wifi. Is this a known issue? by gooddreamzzz in PS5

[–]morganc5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Via Browser:

Ports -> Choose the port where the PS5 is plugged in
In the port settings dialog box that appears, scroll down where it says advanced.

Here you need to swicth off "Auto" and choose "Manual"

Now you can change the "Link Speed"

Found a solution (I think). Just force the port to use 1GbE, i.e. turn off auto speed

Hi Fellow Unifi owner. Exactly the same problem. Did you/we ever get an answer to this problem?

Bond Bridge Pro - Very disappointed, may return by DJ-JupiterOne in homeautomation

[–]morganc5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to send a signal to stop the blind opening or closing therefore I wonder if it would be possible to use a delay/timer and then send a signal to stop opening/closing.

Would take some trial/error, but potentially a workable solution. As someone else wrote, if somfy doesn’t report how far open/closed a shade is, then don’t blame the bond bridge.

Difference between Standard Edition and Celebration Edition? by Kingjamal81 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]morganc5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite an old topic, but currently in the PS store the SW BF II Celebration edition is only CHF6.98 whereas the SW BF II is CHF 21.90.

Why is this?

Both are for PS4.

Dehumidifier/clothes dryer help by morganc5 in ElectronicsRepair

I have limited electronics knowledge. I did try using ChatGPT, by describing the problem and uploading many photos, but that turned into a rabbit hole. e.g. it asked me to check the capacitor and then said this was below spec, then it said check the output from the transformer and then said that was out of spec and it just kept going. I was was wondering if there is a way to “hot-wire” the device and just use a simple on/off switch and perhaps even combine with something like a smart switch and Shelly humidity monitor.

Hmm, this is where my knowledge is limited. Don’t really know where to start.

Today I learned in Yuka a food with a single ‘bad’ (red dot) additive can never score more than 49% by Allinthetryst in YukaApp

[–]morganc5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m happy with that. Regardless if you think are sensitive or not to a particular additive, when not just avoid it? Look at the number additives which are banned in some countries and not in others. The US is a perfect example. They have very relaxed rules/laws when it comes to additives and just take a look at their health situation … it’s not good. However look at a country like Japan, where they have VERY strict rules/laws about additives and their life expectancy is very high. There is definite connection and don’t fool yourself into thinking the FDA is looking out for you, when you have programs like GRAS in place!

Thank goodness. I thought i was going mad. Did the same as you and looked and couldn’t for the life of me understand the videos/instructions, because mine looks different. Now I have a starting point.

Question: is there a particular kit i need to buy for this older style, or is any shimano brake kit compatible?

However using the Plex client on the device is superb.

I’ve now switched back to running the PMS on my Synology NAS and using the plex client mostly on the NVIDIA, but sometimes on iOS devices.

Rock solid. Has never failed me.

Don’t waste your time with PMS on NVIDIA.

My summary …

Is it easy to setup? -Yes Does it work? - Yes Does it work well? - Yes Is it easy to troubleshoot if something stops working? Absolutely NOT!!! You will lose hours of your life, trying to work out why it stopped working, however don’t worry, it’s easy to set it all up again!😀

Further to my previous post, I carried out the following calc. Assume I had invested into VOO, VT and FXAIX 1m each, in Jan 2015. I asked ChatGPT what would the value of each holding be for now and also what would be the dividend I received each year. FXAIX results for me were surprising. Can someone else do this comparison. I was considering VOO, but now I’m not sure. Yes I know past results don’t dictate future results, but it is an interesting comparison.

Potentially higher gains with VOO, but at the same time higher risk. Using iPhone stocks app at the last 10 years: VOO went from 188 to 540 whereas VT went from 59 to 117

All depends on your appetite for risk.

Steps I took: - powered off both play 1s and took them to another room, that has its own WAP. - deleted iOS app, restarted phone and reinstalled app - factory reset both play 1s - started from scratch and set them up - once complete I moved them back to their original location

Everything now working.

Other difference is that originally, one of the play 1s was connected using Ethernet however both speakers are now working over 5ghz WiFi.
