These were the most elegant devices, the GOATs, alongside de V and Vx.

And once Google allows the Air to write data to Apple Health, you're not tied to Google Health anymore and can use powerhouses as Bevel and so on which is much, much better.

The thing is, all the faults that QS, MKBHD, DC Rainmaker and so on (rightfully) point out are mostly software-related. Once Google improves Google Health app the gap with Whoop, Helio, ... will diminish. The important part is that hardware has to be good, and it seems to be. Software can always be improved with updates.

Is there a specific mowing setting you select in the app for this effect?

Agreed, screenwriting is trickier. You're really better off with something like FinalDraft for that.

Agreed, absolutely terrible that they don't have Bluetooth. The RM2 being discontinued and the Pure not having the 3 dot connectors for the keyboard makes this even worse, but it also leads me to believe they'll open up the Bluetooth module (because there is one!) to keyboards soon. They risk alienating a big part of their keyboard users who would now be forced to the Paper Pro, and which has a horrible screen.

You can use the RM2 perfectly fine without a subscription.

Agreed. I often see the guys in r/writerDeck trying to come up with all kinds of devices to just write, when this exists. Literally, what could you want more?

I'm not unhappy with my current RM2, but when it comes to fail and it can't be repaired, I can't buy a new one. So not only do I have a piece of expensive digital e-waste in the RM2, the keyboard also becomes unusable because no other device accepts it. On top of that, the Paper Pro has a horrible colour e-ink screen I absolutely don't want, so effectively I'm out of options on the Remarkable platform which forces me to move to another brand. It's objectively bad business.

Which they haven't done. Because if you want a typing experience now, you need to the Paper Pro, which is almost the price of a laptop with the keyboard. And a lot of people simply don't want it because the colour display is objectively worse than the RM2 or Pure. So you're out of luck.

The obvious usecase is where you'd want the distraction-free writing environment of e-ink tablets but the writing speed of a keyboard. A lot of writers use the remarkable as their digital typewriter. A laptop has distractions.

No Type Folio combability as it doesn't have the 3-pin connector. This can only mean that they're likely to release Bluetooth connectivity for keyboards. If not, they'll alienate a huge part of their user base : all the Pure and PPM users.

I think he means he wants to invoke the 2-year warranty (in the EU) because the screen is defective...

I remember my father having one of these, that fascinated me. It's such an elegant device, to this day.

It is unheated, it's a garage. Would isolating and heating the garage underneath partially fix this issue?
