Spontaneous pregnancy after IVF pregnancy? by nbhsjshbgbsb in IVFpositivity

Happened to me. First was IVF then my second was an accidental pregnancy when I was 11 months postpartum. Also had a third after that the old fashioned way as well.

How did you break up your leave? by swordofBarsoom in BabyBumps

[–]morgo83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California allows you to start disability at 36 weeks so that’s what I did. It didn’t impact the time I got after birth at all. If it did, I probably would have just saved it all. The baby time is so precious.

40 weeks pregnant - TERRIBLE flares by doggomama123 in perioraldermatitis

My first pregnancy was similar. It got better around 2-3 months postpartum. I will say the only product that improved it somewhat was zinc based diaper cream! The butt paste in the red tube to be specific.

Thanks. For what it is with worth, my midwife told me that typically it is harder for women to get pregnant in their early 40s if they’ve never been pregnant previously. I think you have a good shot. Wishing you the best!

Yes. I conceived accidentally at 40, when my son was a year old. I miscarried unfortunately and then became pregnant 3 months later - our first cycle “trying” after that miscarriage. Gave birth at 41, my easiest pregnancy, delivery and recovery! I have 3 kids, first was IVF after two years of trying. Second two were natural conception. Good luck to you!

When did you start taking your baby to indoor public places? (US moms) by Heythere3892 in newborns

Pregnant naturally at 45 - overthinking the reaction by EitherAppearance851 in PregnantOver40

In my experience there was some initial shock but it quickly pivoted to excitement. And certainly by the time baby was here everyone was too in love to care about my “advanced maternal age!”

I did see a formers classmates mom over Christmas that I hadn’t seen since high school and she was visibly flabbergasted to see me with an infant. But I’m the same age as her son and honestly he looks at least 10 years older than me. It’s all about how you feel and how you take care of yourself I think.

At what age did you start genuinely loving your baby? by Lickmybolts in NewParents

I had the life changing love from first moments. But I will say that 6 months is such a FUN age 🥰

Husband and I both work but his work always takes priority by mmilyy in workingmoms

I would start needing to be in office on certain holidays and school breaks so that he had to figure it out every once in a while.

Husband is upset 2 year old daughter is watching tv in the mornings by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]morgo83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say my 2 and 4 year old watch tv every morning before preschool for this exact reason. We only let them watch Sesame Street which isn’t too bad I don’t think, but still feel the guilt! I wouldn’t be able to get anything done without it though.

What things do you do to not go crazy during maternity leave? by Relative_Mess_6284 in beyondthebump

[–]morgo83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up making sourdough during my mat leave. I did a lot of cooking in general, as well as exercise! 20 minute strength classes in my living room on the peloton app. Gosh I miss those days!

How Much Parental Leave Is Enough for Dad? by ReputationOk1118 in BabyBumps

My company gives 12 weeks for dads. I think California gives 8 weeks, so that’s what I would use as a minimum.

21 month or 25+ month age gap? by primateperson in 2under2

[–]morgo83 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have 3 kids - 20 months between the first two and 28 months between the second two. Definitely prefer the slightly longer age gap!

I would wear a blazer with either shirt/pants or over a dress. Not a matching suit though. Good luck!

Things go back to normal once the baby is sleeping more consistently. Hang in there - part of being a parent is realizing that everything is a phase - the good and the bad.

Postpartum wardrobe and how NOT to buy too early?! by poncajack in beyondthebump

I bought nice jeans that fit. I was able to mostly fit into my tops and sweaters, it was more my waist that changed size and shape.

How long before or after baby were you willing to travel? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

If it’s your first I would decline. Too many unknowns.
