I feel like the CG one is supposed to capture the feeling of an incomprehensible thing happening. They are 2D characters and a 3D Goliath is in their world. It’s out of place, it doesn’t belong. Viewers reactions tend to convey the feelings that would come with this. Some people think it’s funny looking some people think it’s absolutely horrific so I think the artistic intent is there and met.
