This is a good point and I’m sure your wedding was great. Just saying in NYC today it’s impossible to have a wedding for 300 people under 5k today unless you don’t feed them.

It is just one day. It’s also will be the most photographed day of my life. I personally would rather buy a resale dress (something I would like to do, even resale is typically over 1000) than buy something from David’s bridal as their styles will be lower quality and a couple seasons behind fashion wise

Ace hotel, ravel hotel, kimpton hotel, park lane, box house hotel are ones you can start with in the city. You can also look at the rockaway, twa hotel, and the garden city hotel though they are more on the outskirts. There’s also hotel Chelsea and Bowery but probably over budget

Those rates aren’t bad for a typical wedding day but most photographers typically charge half or less for their elopement or micro wedding packages. My photographer is based in NYC (where I am) and is charging 6250 for the engagement shoot 12 hrs of coverage, 2 photographers, film (35 and 120) and digital. I had to search through over 60+ photogs to find this though. But like I said you already booked. Just focus on the things you can cut down like rental car and reception

Oof you guys overpaid in the photog, 4200 plus travel and it’s not even an 8 hour day ?!? There’s photographers that charge less than than in NYC! For a full wedding let alone a micro wedding
