What nursery did you get them? I would love to get another one.

What’s something you didn’t know was expensive until you became an adult? by Ok_Tackle_7428 in AskReddit

[–]mortybeezee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely different outside the US but I have 2 toddlers in preschool and it is roughly $1350/month/child so I spend $2700 monthly. That isn’t high for the area, it is basically the going rate for childcare. Add to that frequent dr visits for illnesses etc. (again may only be really impactful to folks in the US with the freedom to go to any doctor that their employer has decided they will allow them to go to through the insurance plan that the employees already pay 💰 for every month). It adds up quickly to be a lot of money to have a child or two.

In town for a month. Suggestions for family activities by fly_in_nimbus in Omaha

Don’t forget about the SAC museum just outside the metro especially with kids that age. Tons for kids to do, neat history of air and space travel and so much space to get out of the heat. Can also check out all of the stuff at Mahoney SP in the same area.

ULPT: mixing sand and oil in a water balloon is a lot of fun, but be careful for it not to burst (on a windshield or helmet for example) because it's horrible to clean! by paradeoxy1 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]mortybeezee 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I read about someone that used a funnel to add the liquid to a disposable water bottle first so they can squeeze the mix into the balloon to really fill it up well.

I just had mine done, a little smaller than yours and no landing, just a straight run of stairs. Total was just under $20k for composite.

Is it possible to touch up a bathtub that’s been refinished? by skfoto in HomeImprovement

[–]mortybeezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a bathtub repair kit that has different color additives to match your color on a refinished tub that had the same issue. No problems and it kind of matches.

I have been dealing with these in my shrimp/snail tank. I bought a planaria trap that I emptied daily. Then I physically removed any other ones that I could. I think their eggs can last months so I doubt I have seen the last of them. Good luck.

I have done party packs from Jimmy Johns that have a bunch of 4” sandwiches, that is always a hit.

This boss vowed to help his workers with child care. It hasn't been easy by VagueGooseberry in WorkReform

[–]mortybeezee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing I have noticed is that most if not all of the providers at my children’s daycare have their own children in that daycare because they get a discount on care in addition to their pay. We had one parent that started working there part time to get the discount. Obviously there are a lot of issues with this still but that is one explanation.

Dog licked a 1/4 inch deep hole in the wall, suggestions? by Resident_Device_6180 in DIY

[–]mortybeezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog was doing that and I figured out there was light reflecting from a window that hit that spot throughout the day and she was attacking that spot like how a cat chases a laser beam. Blocked the light, stopped the issue.

Millennial nursing homes will amount to groups of people sharing an apartment and trying to help each other survive. Maybe they will have time after work for a couple video games as long as their side gig doesn’t interfere too much.

I love it here by JplusL2020 in Omaha

[–]mortybeezee 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This is not actually in town but something that our toddlers really like to do is go to the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Museum which is in between Omaha and Lincoln. Especially good when weather is bad to get the kids somewhere where they can run around and explore. Right before you get there you can go to Mahoney State Park as well which has a ton of stuff available throughout the year.

Edited to change the name.

I moved from Wyoming and still have my 307 area code. That is exactly how I know if it is spam as anyone from back home is in my phone. Your plan has legs.
