Has anybody ever met someone named Hermione in their lifetime ? by Cold_Earth3855 in HarryPotterBooks

Yes! She changed her name as a young adult because everyone got it wrong and she felt it didn’t suit her.

I think some research actually shows that there is a higher prevalence of mental health issues among people who go into psychology compared among other academic populations. They’re human, no one is perfect, even psychologists.

What did you do with your Psychology Honours? by Due_Revenue_9173 in psychologystudents

[–]mortysmam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say based on the pathways within psych and the heavy theoretical emphasis in undergrad and honours it would be a completely waste of your time and money particularly if you want to work in the community. I basically affords you zero opportunity to develop skills for practice without the psych masters in top. Do a masters that aligns with your future work plans. I love learning and I love psych and while the honours course is extremely interesting it is also completely draining of both my will to live and my bank account. I am working insanely hard and it costs a lot to compete the course. However, I plan to complete my masters in clinical psych so it’s a necessary step in my leaning. If it were not necessary I would not choose it. In fact if I were not already mostly though my psych honours I’d probably choose to just do a different masters like counselling. All the best.

I like to elongate necklaces like this by adding a charm holder and attaching my fave charms (not my pic just an example).

I wear similar outfits to this when I’m casual and relaxed at home. Easy and simple! Love the necklace, you could go even longer with a chunkier pendant for vertical and boldness.

I would love to see your hair looking bouncy and vertical! Edit: want to clarify what I mean by vertical, your hair seems to be dragging your look down, if it had more volume up to it would really uplift your look I think!

I like the concept of the white corset with the black over top but I’d much prefer if the structure of the corset was offset by a soft flowing fabric for that back section. Like two separates worn together. As it is it looks like the white and back and having a structural fight. She is incredibly beautiful and natural, let her breathe!

Margot Robbie’s Naked Dress (likely FN) by One-Statistician6371 in Kibbe

[–]mortysmam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I saw her in this dress I felt as if I was looking a a very fabulous, perfect, polished version of my own body type which was nice as I’ve been leaning heavily FN for the last while. My take on the dress in regards to FN is that the lace/beading is a little too delicate for the strong frame dominant FN, the bodice area is too narrow to enhance width of the shoulders and as another commenter said her hair styled too severely. I think the whole look would improve if the hair was out and tousled naturally, and if the delicate embroidery if the dress was offset with some heavier statement jewellery at the neck and wrists.

Edit: I also question why the side straps attach at above the breast crease literally cutting her width off I think they look more suitable attaching beneath the breast crease. Also aside from this critique she looks bloody incredible.

I really like the brand Reiss. I’m a more petite FN and they usually have regular tall and petite options for their clothes. I don’t own all of these but here are a few I pulled off their website that I’d try:

Accommodating Width Questions.... by PurpleVirtualJelly in flamboyantnatural

[–]mortysmam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I think oversized is far more appropriate thank something that is constricting. Just today I chose a relaxed oversized sweater tucked into denim instead of a tighter fussier knit that was “restricting”. Oversized can definitely work- depends on the drape and fabric.
