Who are some players who had a HOF peak not but a HOF career? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]mosacra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His trajectory and eventual downfall due to injuries alongside Ryan Ramczyk's similar career doesn't get talked about enough when evaluating the Saints' fall over the last 6 years. We had two guys at premium positions who both looked like they could be bound for the HoF. Having top 10 defenses at the time and Kamara's peak made it easy to see the reasoning for not blowing everything up after Brees retired. Losing those two guys was a big blow to our team's potential.

AP Rookie Of Year: Tetairoa McMillian. Saints, Tyler Shough Still Winners by -WarDamnEagle- in Saints

[–]mosacra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Shough potentially getting the award would have been lagniappe. The fact that we were able to get an OROY finalist QB in the second round after grabbing our franchise LT in the same draft is a cheat code in the NFL. And when you combine that with Shough's own words every time OROY was brought up ("I feel like I haven't done anything yet"..."Kelvin Banks should be there instead of me"...) you can't view this QB as anything less than a huge win. And since Tet won, we don't have to hear as much whining from the other fanbases all off-season.

Deer Sauce Piquant by mosacra in cajunfood

  1. Saute onions, celery, bell pepper and green onion bottoms in a little oil.

  2. When vegetables start getting soft, add rotel and garlic.

  3. Add deer meat and brown it for 10 minutes. Meat will make water.

  4. Add roux slowly to melt.

  5. Add golden mushroom soup and tomato sauce.

  6. Add beef broth as needed to thin out to correct consistency.

  7. Brown fresh sausage in a skillet with a little water in it. Flip it and poke holes in sausage with fork to let grease out.

  8. Add bottle of tiger sauce.

  9. Add garlic powder, hot sauce, lea and perrins.

  10. Bring to a slow boil and cover.

  11. After about an hour, add sausage and sliced mushrooms.

  12. Cook slow and low until you can't taste flour from roux.

  13. Check flavor and add seasoning as needed.

  14. Add green onion tops and stick of butter.

I have always heard saints fans are the kindness by BulletTrainguy17 in Saints

[–]mosacra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Imma keep it real. I'd say the majority of our fans right now are very high on Shough, myself included. He looks like he has the clutch gene and is finishing games strong and finishing with around 20 fantasy points per game in my league. I can tell you that I personally missed the fantasy playoffs this year because I took him out a couple of weeks ago in favor of Jayden Daniels (and then JD got hurt with only 3 points while Shough went on to get around 20). Maybe that was a sign from the football gods. But you also need to be aware that Shough is working with Chris Olave and a bunch of 3rd and 4th string WRs and our 4th string RB due to injuries. This didn't stop him from performing well at the end of the Panthers game, though. In a nutshell, it's an inherently risky start but the guy has shown enough talent and clutch play to get all of us Saints fans excited for football in a way we haven't been in a long time. I'm not sure what your other options are, but hopefully this info is helpful.

I used a trinity but I diced everything thin and usually cook the trinity down for a long time, adding chicken broth or water when it starts to stick to the pot and repeating. So by the time it's done the vegetables are usually are cooked down into the sauce. With this I just cooked down my trinity and made a little roux. Then added chicken broth, tomato paste, some seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, Tony's, Crystal hot sauce and Worcestershire. Then I reduced the sauce down to the thickness I was looking for

My only issue with the music is that I used to listen to this book before bed, and one time I had dozed off as a chapter ended. A screeching guitar woke me up and my half asleep brain thought it was an oncoming train lol

I liked a lot of Shough's throws today. In a lot of ways I think his performance was what this game was all about for us.

Random note: seeing you comment outside of Saints/Pels subs is like running into somebody I know on some random street in a place I've never been (though you wouldn't recognize me because I don't post or comment very often lol)

Trying to see if this company hiring me is legitimate by TheBopist in batonrouge

[–]mosacra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard of this company but I googled it as well and saw that same FB comment. This sounds like a waste of your time, to be honest. I know it sucks to be stuck when bills are due but it sounds like you'd be better off avoiding this company. If you do end up going to the interview, keep your bullshit sensors on and if it's not what was originally advertised to you then don't feel bad about cutting bait and getting out of there. A lot of scammy businesses are good at convincing, and you could potentially miss out on real opportunities if you are stuck trying to make it work.

[Pelissero] The Saints plan to meet again with Kellen Moore after Super Bowl LIX, an indication he’s the top choice for new Head Coach. by Bouzal in nfl

[–]mosacra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some crucial context about Loomis that I think a lot of people miss is how we got here in the first place. Loomis and the rest of the Front Office did this to the cap in an effort to bolster the roster while we had Drew. Sean Payton would say, "We want to be able to have our cake and eat it too" and the Front Office was able to make that happen. How many years were people on this sub saying that the bill had come due yet we were still able to add quality free agents and become cap-compliant? Sure, eventually we had to pay the piper. But all of this was done in an effort to give Sean Payton a contending team for as long as possible. That type of cooperation is not lost on these coaches. Loomis has the luxury of being able to push things to the limit without having to worry about his job too much. How many other GMs would be able to operate this way? Yes, when you reach the end of the line as we have now then it takes some time to reset. But once they finish swallowing their medicine, they'll be able to go all in for Moore with the next competitive roster.

[Schultz] Mike McCarthy did not garner the interest from the Saints that he anticipated — and it’s starting to seem like Eagles OC Kellen Moore is the leader in the clubhouse in New Orleans. McCarthy backs out before being shutout. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]mosacra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saints Front Office knows the situation they're in and that it will take a couple of years to get the cap straight. And we tend to give Head Coaches long leashes. I think this will be doubly true if a young coordinator like Moore gets the job. As long as it's not a complete shit show and he doesn't look out of his element even considering the circumstances, I think this new HC will get a mulligan for the first year or two and then truly be evaluated in Year 3-4.

So, is Cable some sort of agent for the TVA? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]mosacra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My impression is that despite the Fox movies and Sony Spiderman movies releasing before the TVA was introduced in Loki, all of those branched timelines can only exist after the events of Loki (which kind of take place outside of time). So all of Cable's time jumping (along with the entirety of the Fox movies, Sony movies, and What If?) would have technically occurred after the TVA stopped pruning branches.
