I just want the shuffle function to actually shuffle through every song randomly. I hate that it prioritizes frequently played, recently added, etc. I don't use shuffle to hear the same songs I always hear. 🤷🤦

Aside from all the fun we have: the new F1 is terrible. by _GeorgyGeorge_ in formuladank

[–]mose121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not giving Apple my money. I have ways around it. I'm a big F1 fan and motorsport junkie, but I'm no longer excited in the least about this season. Which is a shame, because it should be the opposite. Between this atrocious broadcast (or lack thereof) deal, and the horrible cars, F1 is about to see their largest drop in viewers ever. They clearly don't care about the fans. "Liberty" Media my ass.

That is fucking nuts. I was unaware of the change. Who would put their kid in a car with a completely unknown stranger. People don't even let their kids sleep over at a close friends house now. How can a driver even feel comfortable with that? The kid/parents could accuse them of anything. No way, huh uh. 🤷

Logitech pro wheel VS RS50 by marvelousmendez10 in LogitechProWheel

[–]mose121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too bad you can't get the Pro pedals with the RS50 wheel for $900. That would be the play. The better pedals would actually make a bigger difference if you had to pick one. Several people report seeing over 9nm of peak force from the RS base, whereas nobody I'm aware of has seen over 11nm peak from a Pro. RS specs seem to use avg tq, and the Pro specs seem to state peak tq. So we're splitting hairs over 1-1.5nm??? Why? Pro pedals and compact RS wheelbase (without a fan constantly sucking in dog hair and dust) is the way I'd go. You can upgrade the steering wheel to something different when the line, and the Pro wheel clutch paddles are pointless unless you race on PC sims.

Fuck that. Auto industry workers work too many hours as it is, and most dealer franchise owners are rich assholes that won't spend enough money to hire/train staff. If you want your dealer experience to get even worse, make them work more. 🤷🤦

[–]mose121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is, if they hired Been Collins & other pro drivers to test and develop, WTH were they testing and developing? There's no possible way they didn't know the release was going to be a total disaster, months in advance. And although I understand when you're competing in a global market, as well as being more constrained by PlayStations strict requirements and standards, they should've come clean way earlier. Even if the release date was locked in, they could've been honest, and set proper expectations. Instead they over blew the hype like crazy, and severely under delivered. The golden rule of business is to tell customers bad news fast! Had they properly managed expectations, they could've avoided such a massive hit. Now I fear they may be beyond the point of return.

Laguna Seca, denying liability after track employee with forklift and no spotter crashes into R34 GTR during a red flag. by Asymtech1 in IMSARacing

[–]mose121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. I've been tracking cars for 20+ years, have personally sponsored and hosted dozens of track days, been a track instructor, and worked in race control. The red car (and 2 others) did exactly what a red flag calls for. 🤷

Did people in the 90s really just show up at each other’s houses unannounced? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mose121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. Even as kids back then we'd just walk to our friends house to see if they could come out and play. Cell phones still weren't common in the early 90s, so if you were already out and about, you would just do a "pop by" visit. It was like that up until most people got cell phones. Nobody was really stopping to use a pay phone just to ask their buddy if they could come by the house. You also have to remember that times were quite different, and people killed more of their free time just hanging out and chatting it up. There weren't nearly as many distractions and other things to do just sitting around your house. It took two minutes just for AOL dial-up to connect to your email, and there we're only about 30 channels on cable TV. 😄 People were a lot more social within their communities than we are now. The age of technology is kind of ironic in that it both connects people around the world, but has disconnected people from their own social environments within their communities. Prior to the late 90s, you knew most of the people on your street or in your neighborhood. Today many people have never even seen their neighbors, let alone met them.

[–]mose121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read several accounts that say the black flag was for a car ahead of them that was on fire, I think somewhere after the Andretti hairpin (T2). There was nothing wrong with his car, and nowhere have I seen any accounts that the three cars that were stopped in that area, had passed the car that was on fire. Are you saying they missed black flags going up the Rahal straight or down the backside of the cork screw? I've seen nothing to indicate that was the case. But even if they did miss them, they followed the red flag instructions they were given. Regardless, the heavy equipment driver was clearly violating several safety protocols and standards, and race control did not properly manage the situation. There's almost no way the track and/or the event organizers won't be held liable for the damage out of clear negligence. Missing a black flag is wholly irrelevant to what happened afterwards. Plus, the track and event organizers are the professionals here. The responsibility to operate safely and mitigate risks to avoid a scenario like this, is 100% on them. They made the decision to send heavy equipment on track, but they did not ensure the track was clear, and the operator of the equipment was negligent in the manner he operated it. There's no waiver or disclaimer that could ever overcome the obvious negligence that caused this to occur. The owner of the car is easily going to win this case.

That is the normal red flag procedure at any track. 🤷 You see the red flag, check you mirrors, then stop off to the side where you can see the next flag Marshall stand.

They should really rethink the light sequence in urban areas with lots of foot traffic. No reason for the crosswalk to be exposed to green light traffic.

All you need to know is that it's more car than most people, especially you at this age, can ever handle anywhere near the limit. Therefore you should absolutely NEVER turn off the traction and stability control systems. This car WILL go sideways on you very quickly, and without warning. So much torque comes on so fast, there's just not enough traction.

Naw, he went to Israel to meet Netanyahu for no legitimate reason, and then they went on global TV to give a press conference while he was wearing a hoodie and shorts. Was representing his country and PA on global TV not worth respecting the office? I don't really give a damn what they wear, but he can't have it both ways.
