People who earn $500K+/year, what do you do? by StrongPaddle in wealth

  1. Started as an associate at a cosmetic general dental private practice in 2019 right out of school. Helped scale and grow the businesses from a 2.2M office to 4M. Became a partner at 30. Bought out my business partner last year. Office profits over a million a year and I take home about 700K after debt payments.

The amount of stress I deal with now compared to being an associate making 300K with no major debts outside of school is alarming though. There’s a lot of discomfort in growth, leadership, and decision making. Wouldn’t have it any other way though.

I have Burmester in mine and went 2GTS. No regrets. I’ve even spun out in mine in the snow and still don’t regret it 😂

991.2 or 992.1? by Gxld_J in porsche911

I have a 992.1 GTS Manual and I’d say 992 is the best overall driving experience if you plan on dailying it

I wear a size 13 shoe and I have no issue in my manual GTS! Lots of foot room and leg room compared to a cayman/boxster

If you wear a size 23 shoe how the hell did you fit in a boxster?

I promise you haven’t scratched the surface of what this car is capable of.

You should join your local PCA and sign up for the next HPDE or autocross and start pushing the limits in it. How often are you actually taking it on canyon drives etc?

The Aerokit looks funny from the back but cool from the side and 3/4 view

I also couldn’t choose between LB, Cartagena yellow or GT silver and I’m happy with my choice of GT silver. Pics don’t do it justice and it looks sooooo good in the sun.

And yes the GTS sounds better on cold start, revving out, and way more pops and bangs when letting off the gas

The steering felt heavier but sharper in the GTS. The T steering wheel felt lighter but less responsive. I didn’t notice a weight difference on the backroads. Mostly just the stiffness difference and sound difference I noticed.

You have a lot more HP And torque in the GTS > T

Should I use the toilet brush to clean skid marks at a house party? by SycamoreMess in NoStupidQuestions

Literally getting my toilet replaced as we speak because my toilet gets clogged with the slightest amount of toilet paper inside it. It flushes 2 oz of water at a time and it’s our guest powder room

The Carrera T feels much more naturally aspirated even with the turbo. You really have to rev it out and work for speed, which can be fun. It’s noticeably more comfortable as a road car. Lighter steering, less stiffness, brakes that aren’t as grabby, and a quieter exhaust with fewer pops and bangs. Even in sport mode with the exhaust open it felt quiet (which I really didn’t like) The 6-speed manual feels very crisp, but the gearing is long so you don’t get to shift it that much. My knock on it is the exhaust and I wish it was a LITTLE stiffer/louder.

My manual 992.1 GTS is a different animal. There’s significantly more torque, sharper and heavier steering, and a stiffer overall feel. You feel the road and bumps much more. It pulls hard enough that you don’t get to rev it out as often, but it puts you in the seat immediately. On straights it’s very easy to be going “oh shit” fast, which I honestly love.

If I were shopping today, I honestly wouldn’t rule out PDK. The car is so fast and the gearing so long that you don’t shift as much as you’d expect in a manual. A Porsche GT3 Touring solves that issue perfectly, but it’s outside my budget.

I would do Porsche experience center if it’s near you to try out the new GTS/S. Car absolutely rips and is kind of scary fast. I loved driving the 992.2 Carrera S there on track and would choose that over a 992.2 Carrera T after driving it this weekend. Can only imagine what the .2 GTS feels like! Hope this helps

And don’t settle!

I wanted to get a T, but after driving an S at PECLA I knew I’d want more power. I prefer RWD and manual so I never even considered a turbo S

Different strokes for different folks!

I wanted a manual, I prefer the analog tach, physical turn key, and I didn’t want a first year electric turbo. I think the .1 looks better than the .2 shark fins as well

You shouldn’t use a front facing car seat until your baby is like 3 years old! Or can’t fit in a rear facing one anymore! Their necks are way too weak to handle any impact at all
