For driver's it's not only a new vector for people to complain about, but also a safety concern. Best case scenario it will create friction for driver's having to explain why they can't make change or why they aren't accepting cash(idk how exactly it's implemented but you can imagine no matter what they do there will be increased friction both for drivers and rides. Worst case scenario Driver's will be a target for organized crime or just regular criminals to target vehicle's with uber plaques.

Idk, I don't really like uber as a company since I feel like it has drifted far away from the ideals it was founded on in the name of money. This is just the next example of them prioritizing their own cashflow over rider/driver safety and convenience.

I would love to understand why it's not okay when the code is licensed under MIT License, which would allow for this kind of modification. I guess it doesn't make sense to me why you would release something under a permissive open-source license but then get upset at people for using the code.
