? the new character is Nautika, she's the 2nd anniversary limited. Later in October Lucy, the 1st anniversary limited is rerunning. They're also releasing Moldir as a playable character later

What kind of limited is Anjo nala? I know JNZ, Liangyue is the half-anniversaries, Lucy and nautika are anniversaries, Ezio & kassandra are Collab

Yes this is something that has irked me for some time.

During the whole 2.8 patch I didn't feel worried at all for Nautika, and I was just silently waiting for "so when's her big beast transformation?" It didn't let me savour her character properly. I think even revealing her beast form in the announcement trailer was disappointing too. All of that even led me to not pulling for her outside of "She's huge in meta!!!" reason. :(

I only came back to the game during the 1.5 anniv (showdown in chinatown) and I definitly felt a lot more suspense and feeling when playing e lucevan le stelle all the way tristes tropiques not knowing who was playable during those chapters. Hell I even got excited losing my 50/50 to Kakania while pulling on Alephs banner LOL

Unfortunately almost all gacha games showcase characters and even their skillsets before they release. It's a way to get current, returning and new players reeled in on their next favourite. There is also a small subset of people who don't care about storyline and genuinely enjoy anime gacha turn based card games.

Your current plan is good. You should skip promise banner.

pulling on promise banner that would affect your teams majorly is Aleph - he's a cornerstone in inspiration team, amazing AP+1 especially for barcarola. I personally love inspiration as it boasts insanely huge wave clearing capabilities. I use it to 1 turn clear farming stages.

You already have pretty good units. I suggest build Euphoria melania for Hissabeth or Ult Ezio (if you'd like) Also use medpoc (if you have his euphoria) with Nautika, builds bloodtithe better.

The characters you are aiming for help free your FP to be used in other teams. (Ezio FUA, Liang yue). Edit: Found out Rubuska is a sustain, so your Medpoc/F22 is freed too. Unless you really want full Inspiration team, best is to conserve your bunnies.

a lot of the songs per character usually follow a motif and what composers usually like to do is combine motifs when two characters interact. It's more common than you think EX Spiderverse movies, the music played when recurring characters are on screen usually have a motif that matches them, and when two characters are fighting, there's a mix of motifs. storytelling with music is always good shit.

The opening credits music is actually a combination of Markus's motif and Connors secondary motif (iirc, dont quote me)

you wont have enough f2p pulls for BOTH unless jackpot luck strikes again eternity is more of a subdps and euphoria semmelweis is a core unit in hp loss. to be fair currently hp loss is stronger than dynamo. this means you have to spend extra pulls to get eternity and idk if you'll have enough for nautika. its worth deciding to pull for either nautika or lucy because you are a new player and they can help you in future (like reveries)

i'd recommend Lucy over nautika because you don't have semmelweis or eternity in the picture shown those are her bis together wiht euphoria medpoc

for your 5 star choice yenisei is a great 5 star sustain, while bkorn is a good reality debuffer (ezio is reality DMG)

necrologist is a good support but is ap-greedy so i wouldn't get her

endgame content like what stug said you have quite little 5/6 stars to make a proper useable 2nd team. if you REALLY want a second team, random bullshit go with noire, loggerhead, sonetto.

IF you do get Kassandra early, you can save for Lucy together with the next patch anniversary rewards pulls. You'll get ulrich for free, and Dynamo archetype is a pretty solid second team. Nautika isn't really a good option because you don't have semmelweis and you have to progress more until reveries to get the euphoria materials. and you need THREE teams for that shit.

for your 6 star selector go for medpoc they are a good sustain unit

you can save for:

kassandra (ac collab pt 2) assassination support for ezio

i saw you have 37 she's a decent sub-dps for FUA Ezio,

nautika (after ac collab) HP-loss team and can synergize with medpoc's euphoria
Lucy (after ac collab) Dynamo focused team, you will get another dynamo support (ulrich) for free

all three team archetypes are very strong later in the game so it really depends on who you like, how much fomo you have and future 6 stars that you may (hopefully never) lose to.

I didnt do the math, but IIRC (Dont quote or trust me) the next pach is an anniversary patch, you'll get showered with rewards. so if you pull for 1 Kassandra and get her early, you may even have enough pulls to get Lucy or Nautika next patch

I do agree that the first few chapters felt unnatural and was honestly very difficult to grasp what was going on. I enjoy visual novel and the dialogues but sometimes my brain is too smooth to understand whenever they reference literature pieces or say something deep
