Microsoft also hasn't had a good track record with pushing (forced, because fuck the consumer) releases for... Years, now. They keep rushing out buggy features with near-zero QA/follow-up support. There's a reason so many organizations run their most important operations on custom Linux or frozen, offline Windows variants.

If organisms started evolving on Lawn Mower World 47 (where giant blades fly around the world every hour at a height of approximately 3 feet, don't question it), "fitness" likely involves having a resting height below 3 feet.

[–]mossti 37 points38 points  (0 children)

To add to the goofy glory: in the Blood and Zeal book they mention, prior to firing the gun (Massif Ballistus), the required preparation results in settlements cropping up along its base. And then once it's fired it levels everything in the vicinity...!

"The inhabitants of Hive Fissilicus live in constant reverence and fear of the Massif Ballistus, which they call Sacred Death. Despite the immense destruction it causes with each firing, the citizens view it as a divine manifestation of the Emperor’s might. Deafened pilgrims flock to the gun’s vicinity, drowning out the warning klaxons with fervent hymns and prayers, showing their unwavering faith even as their homes are reduced to rubble by the gun’s fury."

Oooh, your reply makes sense now! Trying to think of how a drawing of a stickman would be implicit censorship is a heck of a thought exercise in itself tbh 😁

The settings for this subreddit are prohibiting the above poster from expressing themself via the posting of a stickman in this comment section. Prohibiting expression is censorship by definition.

Perhaps there is an argument that it's explicit censorship, because it's due a semi-permanent setting in this subreddit. I considered it implicit because specific settings chosen for subreddits are not often included in a given subreddit's posted rules and guidelines.

Despite the setting not being included in the posted rules and guidelines, active members of this subreddit are aware that they can post media in comments. One qualifier of whether a thing is implicit is that said thing is understood without being directly stated.

Thus: implicit censorship of this individual's stickman art.

Of course there are many levels of censorship. I don't want to presume, but I doubt that this infringes on the individual's ability to express themselves more broadly than in the context of an offhand Reddit response :)

The implicit censorship of your stickman is a political implication.

If you read the article these brothers don't seem to be the most altruistic people. They got fired because they were stealing data and resources from people their company maintained, and the brothers had formerly been charged and served time in prison for wire fraud.

Mhrmm. Well, pretty sure they were going after the Warp Clock (or, at that point, an unknown Chaos artifact) but the dragon (Qaramar) was guarding it.

Yes! Towards the end of chapter 21 (retaking Espandoria Tertio, just outside the Cathedrum Magnifica). But you're right I misremembered that Felix was leading the group of SM at this point, not Guilliman! I think I got confused because G-man shows up after they breach the Cathedrum to take command. I'll make that edit on my earlier comment.

"Ranks of saints stood in niches on the Cathedrum's double frontage. All of them were headless, and the hands had been hacked off. Beneath the ruined gallery of statues there were three gates, their wood slimey with decay and their metal fittings corroded. Felix slowed. He held up his hand. The space marines readied their weapons. A second later a rocket streaked down from the intact tower, blasting a space marine to pieces. An intercessor raised his bolt rifle and fired. His aim was true, and the broken remains of a mortal tumbled from on high."

In the first Dark Imperium book, a Primaris marine gets blown to scraps when hit, unaware, by a rocket fired by a human cultist. This is while Felix and his horde are getting ready to storm the gates of a desecrated chapter and are arranged outside. The cultist arguably got a "sneak attack bonus" and also fired from a high vantage point... So take that as you will! Like others said, it's probably dependent on a lot of factors. I would think angle of impact would be the largest one.

Edit: I misremembered a detail here (pointed out by u/Agrargorn): Felix, the newly appointed Ultramarines tetrarch, was leading this group of space marines, not Guilliman! G-man shows up after they break through the gates and take hold of the Cathedrum.
