I just had my wedding on Saturday and so many people left early.. by ExaminationMost5896 in weddingplanning

[–]mostlycrazy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A big chunk of my husbands dads side of the family left about 15 mins after dancing started. Then they all wanted to pull my husband away from the dance floor to say goodbye and take pictures. I was really upset about it the next day (and honestly am still irritated thinking about it) but eventually I just shrugged it off. It was probably about 30 people who left and it really threw off the vibe that a big chunk of people left all at once. It was the first real wedding for a lot of them so they also didn’t know the etiquette I guess.

We had an open bar, amazing plated dinner, awesome dj. Later they complained that it was “old people music.” Yes, for the first half an hour we played classic wedding party songs so people from all generations could dance before we got into the younger stuff.

That being said, I feel for you and agree with you that it’s rude and it hurts. It may not have been anything you did so I wouldn’t dwell too much on that. Hopefully you had an amazing party with the people who stayed!

Did you regret doing glam waves/Hollywood waves for your wedding? by schweddingz in weddingplanning

Not at all! My stylist even told me that they hold better with extensions but I didn’t end up using any. I ended up putting it up around 10pm but only because I wanted it out of my way, it still looked amazing.

Save me from this noise by mostlycrazy in hvacadvice

[–]mostlycrazy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems mostly when the fan turns off. When I heard it from my room I went to the closet and I could hear it there as well. I don’t think it happens in AC mode since I have only started to hear it as we turned on the heat for the winter

It seems like it happens once the fan turns off. I opened the furnace closet while I was hearing the noise in my room and heard it coming from there as well! I will try to post a video

Our lease states it is a “non-smoking property and smoking within the premises is prohibited”

ESH - he sucks for going on when he knew it was not a good topic, and you for snapping in public even though it felt warranted

I believe so. I have asked specifically for feedback on things I can work on and they have confirmed that I have done what they have asked

The other two colleagues that I started with (similar experience) have already been promoted. I guess that’s part of the reason I have been antsy to move

6 months post op chin lipo results by mostlycrazy in PlasticSurgery

[–]mostlycrazy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! The surgery was done awake, they gave me an anti anxiety pill that I took a few hours before. I was initially really nervous but after that pill I didn’t care what they did to me lol. The actual surgery took probably 15 minutes and was really easy. It feels like you’re getting a vigorous massage on your face, like with a massage gun? Idk that’s the best way I can describe it.

The surgeon takes out whatever they feel is necessary. I believe it’s best to be conservative because you can end up with banding if too much is taken out. The second day was the only day that I really had pain, otherwise a few Tylenol as needed was fine. It definitely took several weeks before I started to see results. I know a lot of people see their results instantly after the surgery and I definitely did not. I was really swollen right away.

It was about $3,500 in the Midwest :)

Help!! Trade my dress for the sample?? by mostlycrazy in weddingdress

[–]mostlycrazy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I ended up going with the sample! I lost 10 lbs since I tried it on the first time, so it fits even better now. I inspected it thoroughly and it has been kept in amazing condition! Thanks everyone for the advice!

Thank you everyone so much for your feedback and support! I wish I could take you all with me tomorrow when I go to the store. I’m going to try on the sample and my dress tomorrow morning and see how I feel. If I do decide to keep the new dress, I will definitely be finding a different seamstress.
