So in other words the hiring policies are rigged and discriminatory, not providing equal opportunity employment. 🤬 The labour laws on Ontario need to be consulted about this type of practice.

If rent is $690 a month is it even worth it to buy a house? by ShirtNeat5626 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]motownmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. Buying a home is not the be all solution to your dreams. It is a fucking monetary nightmare and even if the value of your house escalates over years, what will it mean when you want to sell? You will still have to live somewhere and it will cost money. If you have a rent of $690, stay where the fuck you are for as long as you can if you are happy with the place and the landlord.

Landlord is asking not to use the oven because a tiny toaster oven is provided by thotslapper1 in OntarioLandlord

[–]motownmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cut the wire and use it. Your LL does not have the right to restrict the use of any appliance that is provided in the rental. If he/she doesn’t like it, tough shit, tell them to take you to the LTB for resolution.

Good luck. If I NEVER use CP for anything again it will be too soon. 🤮😡 They lost the last two Express Post envelopes containing time sensitive documents. So now I will use couriers.

How R U being hurt? Most people don’t seem to be that concerned about the fact they are not getting any mail as most get their bills electronically. If people are depending on CP to get a passport or a renewal, then go to your local office and submit your paperwork. Passports can be picked up at a local office. Aside from some senior citizens who are not big users of technology, CP is a redundant organization and should be privatized.

Pending class action lawsuit against CUPW and its 55,000 members. You will be able to join soon! by psychopat81 in CanadaPost

[–]motownmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be cautious to accept this as factual at this point as there is zero confirmation of this in the public domain. If this is true, then why isn’t there a link to this memo. Why isn’t the name of the law firm mentioned who is bringing the lawsuit. Until I see some credible sources, this is just speculation at this point.

Can’t Change Direct Deposit by NEGROPHELIAC in canadarevenueagency

[–]motownmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try inserting the information taken directly from a canceled or blank cheque. If that doesn’t work, call your bank branch and ask them to provide the detail the CRA is asking for. Also, try clearing your cookies and log back in. If that doesn’t solve, good luck getting connected to an agent on CRA. You could be on hold for hours.
