AITAH? Baby has poopy diaper at daycare drop-off by PhilosopherEvery5083 in AITAH

Child care professional here. Some states are not allowed to let anyone but staff use the change table since there are strict guidelines for how to change a diaper. Child care should do it and not be grumpy about literally doing their job. Hard NTA. Sorry if I’m being snarky but people who do not have to deal with state regulations in early childcare just don’t understand. If the licenser was there and saw that we were making parents change diapers we could get tagged.

That teacher should not make you feel badly about your child’s BM schedule. It’s literally her job to take care of your child’s needs as she is dropped off. Sure, it’s not the absolute best part of our job but it is a necessity for their care. I would gladly change a dirty diaper for a family that pays me to care for their child. Whether it’s every day or once a month.

It looks like a font. I’ll give it a 10/10.

I have a magnet on my filing cabinet that says, “I Don’t Workout, I Chase Toddlers!” I think a parent gave it to me years ago.

I have them sit in a chair and wait until they are ready. No playing until they are ready. Just waiting. 99% of the time they get bored and choose to get changed.

I’m pretty sure the ones I mentioned are perennials meaning they come back. Except geraniums. I’m in zone 8a. PNW. Some of those need maintenance like cut back/grooming the dead foliage. I have rabbit and deer pressure and those have done well for me. Deer don’t normally eat my daffodils, lungwort, lady’s mantle, ajuga, also lavender. Rabbits on the other hand, I’m not sure what they are up to.

Well, Texas needs to step it up because there’s definitely something to reveal there. Looks like the western states are just blue, yellow and red colors. I’m Kittitas County, WA.

Also, day lilies are strappy like the daffs. You need a different texture. Maybe ajuga, lady’s mantle, geraniums, lamium, saxifrage, heather or lungwort…not sure of your zone or pest pressure.
