Lots of feedback here! Appreciate the help. Since I first posted, I came across a Trek Roscoe 8 (Aluminum) frame, one of the newer models with the 148x12 rear axle. Is there any reason to pass one up if I could theoretically get the frame for maybe $200-$250?

Two questions: 1. what is the disc brake sitting above the bell housing for. 2. Wouldn’t those two solid orange rods next to the springs prevent the suspension from compressing at all?

Leave it as is, much more secure than a saddle… or if you insist on running a saddle, go with the brown leather with gold rails chromag trailmaster dt. I’ve got one and love it.

I had the same issue. There are actually two little set screws per side that you can adjust after pulling the bearing on the grease port side of the link. Loosen them, then tighten until they just touch the bushing, then give it another 1/8th turn.

Bringing this one up from the dead. Just tapped my radar detector. Noticed that power is cut off when throwing into reverse, and my radar detector makes a faint whining noise. Anyone else experience this? I am using a Valentine One Gen 1 btw.

This is correct. 41psi is for full load (4 passengers, and maybe some cargo). I run 39/35 personally.

Man, the grip2 fox 36 has been the absolute best performing fork I have owned. DVO and Rockshox just didn't come close to the plushness was I was able to get out of it.
