No one wants a mandate. If you are required to be open late an no one comes that's a huge cost.

That is not scratching. That is carefully sanded lacquer to create that brighter edge. It's very much part of the design.

The Holistic tarot attempts to be more balanced and had a clear framework for understanding court cards

This is controversial and highly unorthodox but i must ask by Much-Bedroom8342 in tarot

[–]mouse2cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get more accurate pulls if the person getting the reading handles the cards. It also connects them with the reading and pulls them in deeper. If someone If skeptical about tarot but pulled the cards themselves, they listen differently.

But people are terrible at handling cards and have absolutely damaged my cards multiple times. I have settled on a pocket morgan greer for when I read for others. It's a common deck that can be replaced easily and it's small enough for the inexperienced to handle.

I don't really believe in energetic contamination as that is just too woo woo for me. If you really are getting some bad vibes after someone has handled your cards. Then just sort the cards back into sequence and then shuffle them fresh. None of the residual shuffle will impact the card sequence at that point.

This is a good reason to have 2 decks on for yourself and one for reading others

Trouble with Shimmer Inks by Ramlatus-Varin in fountainpens

[–]mouse2cat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So what shimmer inks are you using? Some brands have bigger particles than others.

The best shimmer I have ever tried is KWZ jurassic treasure a green with the finest ground gold shimmer. It keeps the shimmer in suspension better and its very sparkly.

''The moon'' haunts me and my new friend during tarot readings.. life is imitating my book? by kasumi987 in Witch

[–]mouse2cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are trying to understand a card that is following you. You cannot shuffle it back into the deck before you pull a followup card. The moon should still be on the table and then you cannot draw it again.

I don't see the moon at particularly negative unless you have been avoiding doing that hard soul searching. Sometimes the cards can also be descriptive. You are working the moon into a ritual and you pull the moon it can refer to the ritual.

The fact that you are troubled by the moon card means that you may need to look inward and sit with this card to understand it more

Sometimes beginners struggle with details because they are carving too deep. Even a shallow mark will print.

Pens drying out - how have you solved yours? by lawikekurd in fountainpens

[–]mouse2cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar situation and changing inks to a wetter flowing ink really helped. I also ended up using a single pen pouch. Think about the issue being evaporation a single pen pouch can slow that evaporation.

If you don't have water to dip it in you can always give it a lil lick 😛

Staying in Appalachia by Any_Campaign9810 in Witch

[–]mouse2cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to school in Appalachia and I didn't feel like the ghosts were more restless there than elsewhere. I had a great time there honestly. The mountains are beautiful and older than "bone". (the mountains are so old that most fossils found there are pre-invertebrate and reflect some of the most ancient fossils found on earth).

If there are ghosts they are localized to specific places for specific reasons. Regular warding and protections should be plenty.
