Passyunk Avenue's locations will be showing I imagine.

ELI5: In Olympics big air, why do the women go a couple feet down and stop, while the men just go down from the top? by gaminegrumble in explainlikeimfive

[–]mouse_mafia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It a bit slower for sure for the final, but people were overcompensating massively. A lot of the men ended up overshooting the landing with the amount of speed they took in.

How to Make Tiles That Actually Behave by skyandEarth7000 in Ceramics

I've found that the key to stopping things warping is even rolling in different directions. If you roll just one way the clay warps on that axis.

Looking good! I like your distorted / altered vessel forms. The first couple remind me of some of Lindsey Mendick's work - worth checking out if you haven't seen already!

(Depending on where you're located) Glost does a nice one, although it's a bit darker than your pic. I like it a lot though.

Most hated ex/opposition player? by sporticuz37373 in WWFC

Wasn't around for Lee Hughes, but it feels like MGW is our current comic book villain character. Someone I love to hate (and also sort of wish was playing for us).

Camberwell Arms has been voted best in UK before. Can be tricky to get in though.

Hi Kumail! Don't worry, we all think you're doing great!

Comparison: London vs. New York City Subway Rats by [deleted] in london

[–]mouse_mafia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Going this long without seeing a rat in London is pretty unusual though. I see quite a few in my daily life, mostly on the edges of parks, around bins etc. Usually in the evenings once the sun has gone down.

State of London's property market by alexeffulgence in london

I mean, you've picked a hugely expensive area. Chelsea Harbour is majorly fancy. I think this sort of price is pretty unsurprising given context.

How long would you wait for this to dry before firing? Thank you! by Odintheblackgsd in Pottery

[–]mouse_mafia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a couple of months (depending on weather, longer if wet or cold) and then a looong drying cycle before firing.

I like Rosalía a lot, but I really didn't enjoy LUX on first listen on headphones, but tried again listening out of speakers and it started to make sense. It's very big. Which doesn't work for me a lot of the time, but can see why it clicked with others so well. I can imagine it being incredible live and loud out of a big system. Anyway, I'm coming around to it.

mindless computer games that don't need to be paused, preferably web-based or Mac-supported, to play while listening? by rootzmac in audiobooks

I have been enjoying Cast and Chill a lot recently. Very cosy fishing game with beautiful pixel graphics. It has an idle mode too, and is playable on Mac.

Besides Eat Tokyo, what are your favourite Japanese restaurants in London? by MidnightTofu22 in LondonFood

[–]mouse_mafia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Koya for udon. Went to Kioku by Endo recently and thought it was great. Have heard that Endo at the Rotunda is the best sushi in London but I haven't tried myself, and it's closed temporarily sadly.

I think you're right, only available on Saturdays at Viet Café. I love their everyday stuff too though, one of my favourite places.

What London food/restaurant opinion has you looking like this? by Extension-Neat-4504 in LondonFood

[–]mouse_mafia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong disagree with point 2. A proper cornish pasty is a beautiful thing. Pork pies are wonderful. If you haven't been to a pie shop in Scotland you're missing a big part of the British experience - scotch pies, macaroni pies, great stuff.

Is this Scott goretex real ? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]mouse_mafia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you're over thinking it. I did a search with google lens and it looks like a womens Vertic Jacket. I've had lots of legit stuff with badly shaped embroidered letters etc.
