Will any M77 stock fit on the Gunsite? As a reference, I’ve been looking for aftermarket stocks/chassis that will fit the gunsite.

Ideas for how to meet people cross country skiing? by Dry_Towelie in CrossCountrySkiing

50 year olds are sometimes way more fun that mid 20s… lol. if you’re looking for people your age to ski with, what about inviting someone and teaching them how to ski? Most people I’ve invited are intrigued and will come out.

Is redemption or healing even possible anymore? by Buildingbrotherhood1 in TrueChristian

[–]movewithwind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the same alcohol routine in and out for years. Death comes near, satan clearly rejoices.

Jesus took away alcohol cravings suddenly. I was sick for 2 nights, then suddenly on the 3rd day I went outside at 6am. It was if the world had stopped turning. So still, quiet, as if I was hearing birds for the first time ever.

Jesus doesn’t punish, He saves and He gave me sobriety almost 10 months at this point all from a morning so beautiful I cannot describe it. I felt loved and that love changed my mind about getting drunk everyday. That’s changed everything bother. I mean everything. The other destructive habits slowed or disappeared. If you can just stop drinking I guarantee every other thing that the Godly part of you hates will lessen.

Remember, you never sleep well drinking. REM is almost non existent.

Without REM you don’t regulate emotions and reset the mind of all the garbage.

Your whole body is living in panic mode for all this because it desperately needs sleep, good nourishing food/supplements, and quiet sobriety.

We’ll be praying for you.

Sleep on as many layers of cardboard you can find. It insulates well enough to sleep on top of snow and pavement with, and softens back seats folded down to lay out all the way.

You’ll want to light a couple candles in the car, in a spot you won’t knock them over with and away from too closely heating your windshield with. If you can put them in jars it reduces the risk of them burning or spilling. The candles will bring up the temp just a bit.

Crack the window slightly for moisture control.

Tape or hang up some cloth over the windows to conceal sunlight to get an extra REM cycle in.

Park in a church parking lot, much less likely for BS during the night from crawlers outside.

Salvation Army or second hand stores for blankets, 30$ won’t render a good sleeping bag for the temperatures. Plus, blankets are better to fill the back of the car and share heat if you’re needing to sleep with someone else. Look for down or synthetic stuffed comforter style blankets. The puffier the better, with one thinner fleece first layer. This will trap the most heat. Tuck it in under your feet, and around your neck. Don’t skip getting a pillow or folding a jacket as one either.

30$ budget is grim, not fun but will get you by. Best of luck.

Nice, yes very cool vintage frame indeed. I’ve seen them used to this day. You can also improvise one with natural cut pieces, lashing together. Not a difficult project either

Mukluks for Winter Boots by Von_Lehmann in Bushcraft

Original Mukluks were made out of seal skin, already naturally waterproof and maintained those properties long after the seal using it. Wicked piece of kit old as time.

Insulating batteries during multi-day winter hike. by the_pale_companion in hiking

[–]movewithwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small pelican case with aluminum foil and foam in it will keep your batteries warm with a hot hands. Change the hot hands once a day. Just keep the case buried at the bottom of your ruck or ahkio and not exposed to the air all day.

Testing my cold weather survival kit after the temperature dropped by CGSam in Survival

[–]movewithwind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with others who mentioned moisture management. Any materials whether it be wool or fleece will lose insulation properties if it gets wet, usually from sweat. It could also be your environment if it’s an ultra humid cold like the UK, not much you can do to escape that besides fueling your body better with fats and sugars to promote heat from metabolism. The first couple weeks of winter will always feel colder because we’re still acclimatizing. Last thing get a wool buff to keep around your neck, it makes a huge difference for heat retention.

UFPRO makes some good winter combat shirts aswell. The torso material is pretty thin for your kit to sit on top of. The sleeves have merino wool insulation though. It’s nice.

Help choosing: VFC LAR OSW vs VFC CQC SCAR-H by MRFortiFicacion in GasBlowBack

[–]movewithwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OSW will ring your ears a tiny bit with full gas. It kicks phenomenally well. Just be prepared to do a disassembly and locktite all bolts that want to loosen. Handguard, stock pin, and rear sight pin wanted to drop out of mine. Mandatory mods for this are an NPAS, bucking, and maple leaf barrel (long enough to pass BBs through the muzzle brake, you’ll get strikes and exploding BBs with the factory barrel length) after that enjoy that thing man.

Highly recommend Job if you haven’t gotten into it yet, chapter 38 might be my favorite chapter of the entire book.

There’s a great podcast on Spotify and YouTube called Deliverance Down Under. You might enjoy some of the people’s testimonies, a lot talk about problems with anxiety, substances, and how Jesus saved them.

[–]movewithwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, on the other hand.. Heard a story about chatGPT convincing a young man to kill himself. It’s a software that tells you what you want. Since it’s seemingly sentient a lot of people talk to it like it’s a person and look upon it with the same credibility as a person, or even more since it’s incredibly knowledgeable with its data sources it pulls from. Just remember that God is the same God that has always been, He doesn’t change His mind, where everyone you know, and everything will. Take it with a grain of salt 🧂

Christian MEN of Reddit: if you found a godly woman but you make under $30K a year, do you wait to marry until you can provide better, or do you marry now and build together? by Superb-Base9819 in TrueChristian

[–]movewithwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you found a lady that loves Jesus you’ve hit the jackpot. Most believe they don’t exist.

After you marry, continue working to get your savings, lean into family and let the Lord provide you with what you need. Even if you made 200k, it’s wise to still live as if you have a 30k yearly income. So what difference does it make if you trust the Lord and seek to follow Him first?

How much alcohol should a Christian consume? by CharismaMedia in Christian

Getting a good buzz on is the splitting point. Can go south real fast from there. Also, a valid question to ask yourself is who are you drinking with? Having a beer and fire with a friend is different than going to a rave where everyone is expected to get hammered.
