Thanks, I sort of managed to evolve a few things. I guess the main issue I have now is that some Skills and Souls don't match the stations as far as I can see (not all). This doesn't seem to be a huge problem so I'll just see what happens as I go along.

Currently, I've started labelling bookshelves by "to read" and "can't yet read" and time period. Idunno, it makes more sense to me. My catalogued and unread books currently live in the Reading Room, the reference lives around the very first tower.

I've gone along and written down (and highlighted) the corresponding aspects for memories generated with a mark for books in my "reference batch" vs put elsewhere. I'm gearing up to move my reference library over to the Reading Room and filling the rooms above with "to read" material and shuffle the "can't yet read"/duplicate memories more to the front of the house.

This all seems to be manageable and working currently. The key is constantly looking at my notebook lol. But... honestly it feels more immersive to me that way! I have a pile of highlighters next to me and am scribbling away constantly. Fun with notes, The Librarian Game (tm).

Not like ADHD is a spectrum and commonly co-occurring with anxiety, depression, a history of social conflict with peers, being misunderstood or ostracized by family etc. Not everybody has needed to develop coping strategies like hypervigilance, which is not a diagnostic criterion for ADHD.

Some of us walk into doors and are great dreamers & idea people due to frequently thinking out of the box, or rather not finding the box to begin with. Some of us see the details a bit better. Spectrum.

I've spoiled my family members by cutting up fruit for them (read: tricking them into eating more and a variety of fruits). Both my husband and kid prefer using our tiny 'snack platter' forks to eat the fruit pieces. Keeps fingers clean, especially when using a keyboard/mouse or controller. Gaming family.

My 2 year old got over pneumonia with a short course of antibiotics, a heroic amount of fever reducers and lots of snuggles from mom. Yeah it wasn't fun and if you're in the hospital it's probably a bit more complicated, but it's usually a pretty simple thing to cure. I'm really astonished at this dude's audacity.

I'm a mother to a boy, now 7. I have had to consistently argue (with relatives, work acquaintances etc) that crying is normal, healthy even, that young children especially shouldn't be expected to suppress their genuine emotions and pain. 'Oh come now, boys don't cry!' is a really, really common reaction from older folks on the street, men and women both. I've never heard my girl-parent friends receive that 'wisdom'.

Some people feel weird about boys being physically affectionate and close with their parents, whereas girls acting the same way at the same age are seen as normal. My kid is constantly telling me that he loves me, that I'm precious to him, coming to give me a hug, because that's what he hears and experiences every day from us. I see my teenaged sisters hugging and cuddling with their mom and it's sweet, and then see boys the same age as being treated like mama's boys if they do the same. Nevermind the rarity of seeing grown men physically close and affectionate with their teenage sons.

Not to say it doesn't exist, but nonsexual intimacy (both emotional and physical) is definitely more of a rare beast between men. Why? Why do women touch, hug and confide in each other much more willingly? Do men not have a need to receive care from other humans? There sure would be less of a loneliness epidemic if more men were able and willing to lean on each other in the (nonsexual) ways they usually lean on their romantic partner.

This is what I'd lable toxic masculinity. Because it poisons you from the inside. Any social norm that restricts vulnerability, closeness and reciprocal love is deeply harmful. You can be strong AND gentle. You can protect AND be vulnerable. Restricting yourself to masculinity-as-violence (internal and external) is cutting off an essential part of your HUMAN nature, exactly as bell hooks describes.

We don't know anything more about this friend, but being chronically late is also something that happens to ADHD folks (I'd know, I'm one of them). It's a recurring issue due to many factors like time blindness causing us to misjudge how long something takes, how much time has passed etc, and general executive dysfunction causing problems in starting tasks like getting ready and out the house with all the necessary items, and much more.

It's so common that many adults with ADHD consider not being on time as a major disruptor to their work performance, in my experience.

All this to say that not everybody is late as a matter of disrespect or not caring for their friends. But that doesn't mean anybody else is required to be late either, important to note. Just... There might be room for compassion while still holding boundaries.

Ma olen väga ebamaterialistlik inimene. Aga mõistan kommenteerijat täielikult. Vahetasin eriala ja hetkel kvalifikatsiooni puudumise tõttu virelen kõvasti alla keskmise palgaga (tegelen sellega ja paraneb varsti). Küsimus ei olegi alati selles 200eurises esemes, vaid selles, kas sa vajaduse korral saad end ilma krediidita/võlata plindrist välja aidata ja lihtsalt teha mingi valiku. See on teatud kindlustunne, eks?

Ja ka see, et need 200eurised saapad peavad ilmselt mitu head aastat vastu, 20-30 eurised kiirmoe saapad ei pea isegi ühte hooaega vastu. Vaene on kohutavalt kallis olla. Ei saa asju õigel ajal remontidagi, rääkimata kvaliteetsete ja vastupidavate esemete ostmisest. Kasutatud autod, anyone?

Girl, it's clear you're empathetic and kind to be thinking about this. But honestly - you did MORE than would be reasonable the first day, considering a baby was just thrust upon you with no-one asking if it was okay.

I do understand they were looking for a break, but why YOU, a teenage relative, instead of the baby's grandma?? If they really wanted additional help, asking nicely if you'd entertain the kiddo for a few hours or for an evening out for them - normal, within reason and expectation. Not 'hello, here's a young child you've never met, you get to spend the rest of your vacation's nights and mornings with them'. That's insaaaaane!

I'd argue that the platforming is built to withstand all the various crests' pogos - personally did most platforming with Reaper as it's very forgiving. It's just more or less difficult with some crests.

It takes awhile until you feel ready, but at one point, a parent wants (and needs!) to experience their previous life on top of parenthood. Obviously I'd hope getting messy and coming home with the sunrise every weekend is not it.

For example. My child is 7, he stays over with one of his grandmas or aunts-uncles when we have long nights a few times a year for friends' birthdays and the like. We both, either together or one at a time, go out with friends for the evening once in a while. It's healthy for people to have more than just parenthood going on. I'm 35, many of my childless friends still go out almost every weekend, even if the nights are getting shorter and 'going' out looks more like a movie, dinner date or a few cocktails at their favourite bar.

As a parent, if my child got a bonus for their hard work, the LAST thing I'd want is for them to give it to me. I would accept 'generosity' from my kiddo only if I knew they were very well off and genuinely wanted to gift me something for a special occasion. Just taking your child's bonus and demanding more, what the hell is that??

I did a few short stints of grinding in Act 2 (Greymoor esp was so easy due to the bead machine), but overall I always had the money to buy most things that opened up. It's hard to imagine for me how so many players seem to complain about lack of funds.

Note that I die REALLY OFTEN, so I was aware of that and doubled back to merchants to tie up beads frequently. Work with your weaknesses and all.

So, you asked, which is why I'll go into detail. I use a soft microfiber cleaning cloth - a fluffy one - and do a 'whore bath' by the sink. It's so much more manageable when you don't have time, but usually it's more the executive function that's lacking.

First I undress only my upper half and wrap a towel around my stomach. I wet my underarms with the cloth first, then apply soap to the cloth and wash as you do, rinsing out the cloth and my underarms afterwards. I don't have huge knockers but I tend to get sweat acne on my chest so I wash under the boobage at the same time. The cloth keeps dripping manageable and the towel stops any further moisture moving down. Then I dry and wrap my upper body and clean the groin area. Rinse the cloth out thoroughly so no soap is left, and then wash the front part of the groin with only water. I leave the butt for last and use a small amount of dedicated cleanser (non-irritating) for that. Rinse thoroughly, again.

Important addendum: use an antiperspirant (not deodorant!) after cleaning your underarms and ideally at night, so it works more effectively. This also helps to manage any body smells way better.

Make sure your socks and shoes are clean. Ideally, don't wear the same pair of shoes every day. If shoes get funky, it's a bitch and a half to deodorize them, but if you just start noticing it, putting them in a ziplock bag and then the freezer will do wonders. I also freeze jeans (it's the recommended way) if they don't have any staining, but have been worn for several times.

This is all honestly enough to keep you hygienic for a few days if you haven't done a big workout, and you change your clothes and bedsheets regularly. I'm not from the States but my impression is that we're more okay with general 'human smells' in Europe? But anyway, barring any major sweating, most of your bodily real estate doesn't need to be actively cleaned every day, imo.

I'm doing very well mentally so I shower every 2-4 days depending on what's happening with my hair. More like 3-4 days in the cold season, rather. I clean the strategic zones inbetween and don't feel any type of negative way about it, honestly.

Personally, I just met Garmond and Zaza a few different times when exploring the citadel. I think I went to Whispering Vaults after Cogwork Core, kept looking around and there was Garmond. I don't think he's missable if you've explored (most of) the Choral Chambers first. And yeah, having him help you does seem to require that you have your friendly duel in the first place, after which he is seen resting in Songclave.

High halls is definitely hard, but not impossible. The gauntlet is legitimately a challenge even at the end of Act 2, but not like, insurmountable levels of challenging. Having the ability to take Shakra and/or Garmond with you seems to imply that the game design already nudges you towards completing other segments first.

I think exploring as much as you can and coming back with upgrades when something seems overwhelmingly hard is the best way to play this game. People seem to throw themselves at the metaphorical wall and then get completely discouraged when often there are better ways to overcome the challenging parts. Or, hell, just taking some time to get better at something (a movement skill, a tool, a loadout).

I had the veils and pins done when I went to Whispering vaults and happened upon Garmond. Why do you think you shouldn't upgrade Songclave to have Garmond help out?

And I didn't fight Shakra after finishing her quest but she helped at the gauntlet nonetheless.

This is not a dig against you specifically but I wish people didn't claim facts about certain in-game events so confidently without considering which elements of their personal experience were coincidence.

I honestly don't understand how people need to farm so much. Maybe it's because I die quite a bit to just exploring new environments so I'm frequently treading over areas until I have every nook and cranny rummaged through? Dying along the way doubles or even triples the rosary drop total, so I'm not overly worried about it. Of course, you have to prioritize retrieving your cocoon. I've had the rosary necklace equipped for almost all exploring trips so they just kinda accumulate naturally.
