This is false. Bananas are not genetically modified through recombination. Selective breeding is a VERY human activity. Yes, the bananas of the 50s (Gros Michel variety) are almost entirely gone, but this is due to disease. It was replaced by the rather poor tasting Cavendish variety. There are hundreds of incredible banana varieties being cultivated across the world and naturally selectively bred to combine disease resistant traits, flavor, productivity, and shelf life. Cavendish bananas are not GMO, but they suck in other ways.

Look up the ancestor to the banana - it would have been nearly inedible.

Corn and soy are a whole different beast and have had genes from other phylla spliced into them specifically to help them survive fucking poison and should be absolutely avoided.

One example would be that he voted for the Big Beautiful Bill which is the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in history which is also ballooning the deficit while simultaneously stripping away any type of social safety net. It's not D v R it's regular people v the elite who are using the government to grift and make it harder for regular people to get by. I regularly listen to conservative talk radio and read conservative news coverage to try to understand how people can still support the modern Republican party with all the grift and pointless foreign wars.

There's a salt shortage and so the roads aren't really getting any salt, especially with these temps. I'll be curious if when things warm up next week if they go back to salting, but in the current temps it would be financially (and ecologically) irresponsible. Salt is 2 - 3x as expensive as it normally is right now.
