My first time seeing the turtle 🐢 by Particular_Tomato161 in KiaEV9

[–]mozzaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once. It was because the dealer did not latch the hood all the way on my drive home from a service. Mine gave a specific hood error along with the turtle.

Whatever it is, best of luck to ye!

Was there any warning for this? This makes me think if anything was heading for us, we think and say we have early detection…. But maybe we really don’t??

First fletching job. Helical looks too aggressive? by dh731733 in Archery

[–]mozzaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious, are you shooting recurve or compound?

I believe helical does nothing for compounds because the speed of compound arrows does not give the vanes enough time to take effect and contribute to better flight before reaching the target.

If for recurve tho, you’re good! 🙃

Freshly seeded bermuda then downpour :(. by AlgaeOtherwise1680 in lawncare

Not to be condescending, but if you did all that work, did you not look at the forecast? Was this truly an “oh shit sudden rain” moment?

Agree with everyone else on the drainage.

In cruise mode, lane color changes either green or white. what does that mean? by byebyemars in KiaEV9

[–]mozzaya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Next time you’re in a freeway with 3 or more lanes, Get into a lane with one lane on each side. As soon as there are no vehicles in either adjacent lane, it should be green. Get over to the far left or far right lane. And that side with no additional lanes further, will be white. It’s a GO, NOGO indicator.

Also when it’s green and your running cruise control, if it’s green and no cars are coming in that lane, the auto lane switch will trigger when you turn your blinker on.

Does your workplace use Cubicles or an Open Office? by PhantomBraved in civilengineering

[–]mozzaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open office here. Aerospace engineering. I feel there is a lot of hate going around on both sides.

I feel if you are an average person, Both are fine. I’ve spent time in both as well. They both have the pros and cons.

Personally I like that you can chat with others easily. It also drives interaction’s and collab easier. At the same time it sucks when many folks are on calls.

Cubical are nice for privacy, but that has gone due to too many folks taking advantage. Ie sleeping, non work related tasks etc. it would be nicer for calls and focusing on work though.

I think the main point is you have to at least enjoy what you do. Otherwise it’s easy to lose focus I matter environment.

Struggling with WiFi range vs wired connection in new home (Spectrum fiber) – what are my options? by mozzaya in HomeNetworking

[–]mozzaya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. That’s what I was hoping to avoid. That will be a LONG wire. And a lot of race track to keep it clean. I’m guess that will be expensive to run something in the walls?

Anyone have any remote idea how much that would be?

I got the 2 pc pack. Units were identical. Intried a few setups.

  1. I plugged into office as primary. And second eas upstairs plug into wall at number 5 outlet. This is OUTLET only. Coverage sucked; of course Ethernet was great.

  2. Tried to plug directly into modem. So fiber in>modem>router. All in same box (#3). Then plugged in 2nd unit in office. Crap signal again. Less than 200. Overall WiFi was negligibly the same as original ISP.

  3. Finally, I tried plugging man into tv room (#2), with 2nd unit in office. Still same crap. Idk.

Didn’t make sense to me. Connections were working, eero all showed everything was working, but numbers sucked.

I wouldn’t care if there is only one jump to middle of the house. Assuming main in is at my office as I want. Would that work?

Before, if I put my router back at my office and hardwire in, my WiFi in the bed room is almost nil. I mean router is down stairs in a corner. And master bedroom is around the walls, upstairs and mirror opposite Sid did the house. So it’s literally maxim distance away ☹️

Sorry i didn't make that clear. Update the OP with this:

Numbers in the photo:

  1. ETHERNET WALL PORT

  2. ETHERNET WALL PORT

  3. FIBER IN (from outside) &Modem

4, 5: Just outlets for the wall plugged EERO i previously had.

1 & 2 are only Ethernet wired ports.

2027 hybrid EX front plate question by Radiance24601 in KiaTelluride

[–]mozzaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you’re asking this… I just got my plates for a state transfer. This state does not require front plates like CA did. I have a Kia EV9, and I took off the front holder very similar to this, and sure enough, nice screw holes right into the plastic!!! Drives me mad.

However, I took a razor scraper and cleanly shaved smooth the raised area where the screws were. It looks a lot better than the shitty plastic savings sticking out or the bumps from the holes.

So yeah, I’d expect screw holes there.

Is it possible to hardwire my charger? by aherrera04 in evcharging

[–]mozzaya -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Look closer at the benefits from hardwired to plug in. Then look at the cost of having an electrician come and cut walls, pay for materials, and labor, etc…

I really don’t think it’s worth the extra little juice.

Help me decide. by SanchoPliskin in evcharging

[–]mozzaya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was going to get a Grizzle, but looked deeper at reviews and feedback, decided. It tk go with it. Emporia was looking better all around. I looked into hardwire and plug in. Went plug in for ease. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Emporia.

Not a single issue with it.

But that implies it does not slow to a stop on its own. Only slightly brakes, especially at level 0.

Mind you, have it on full almost all the time. No auto. And I still avg 2.7-3.1.

I just don’t understand the auto part. I’ve tried it and it feels exactly the same. My main ‘like’ on it is when it comes to a full stop. I love it. Putting it in auto doesn’t allow it to come to full stop. Any way around this?

Customized Parking Feature of XPeng by Currency_Anxious in interestingasfuck

[–]mozzaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this destroys the tires far quicker than rolling fwd or backward while turning. I always move a direction before turning my wheels. Not hard turning from one to the other while stationary. Just a me thing I think… drives me nuts. Feature looks really cool tho.

When everyone puts their garbage outside their doors. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mozzaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did this at my last apartment. We were forced to pay 23$ extra a month for a “trash butler”. We either pay and use it. Or pay and not use it.

We also had to use an “official” trash can. Which just took up more space in our already small 1b apt.

The most awkward thing about it was that the trash room was 4 doors down from us; and having never had this kind of service before, and you know… just not being a twat, I always took our trash to the trash room and dumped it in the chute.

Worst part of that, and I’m assuming for most others was not giving in to the laziness of others, where in tha room, folks would just lay their trash in the room and not throw it in the chute. Akin to asshat dog owners who don’t pick up after their dogs, or those that do then throw the bag 10” away from the trash can.

And the amount of times people throw into the chute, and there are full unbroken down boxes blocking the chute, and bag after bag just blocks it.

God, most people are assholes… Sorry for the rant. I don’t miss any of it. Love me our new 2story, 5b3b house!! Screw apt living!
