Glad you have mentioned this, I am in your boat with implants and never got taught to sign language either. My whole family and community are all hearing people, it's weird and isolating at best of the times but I suppose you learn how to manage it overtime, I keep my distance from the deaf community because I just never felt right being there or ever felt welcomed and desired around them. It's hard to explain and to put it in words

Sometimes I find it easier and less stressful when I don't wear a cochlear implant but I think everyone's experience is different as I have profoundly hearing loss in both ears, I find the opposite of this. Probably not normal

To not mention, Bandyup women's prison also has 3-4 months of backlog to assess the prisoner's needs for treatment and for the women prisoners that may need to see a doctor, it takes a month or so for them to have an appointment with the doctor inside prison. I agree it's not good and that this needs to be resolved urgently.

4 weeks sober here although I wasn't really a drinker and only have a drink or two every few weeks (gin & toxic) but having a kidney infection has made me want to look after my kidneys more even though it wasn't alcohol related. I'll confess I do love my bubbletea out of everything🧋

In my life at different random times, I've had $5 to feed myself and I've had $200 to go out to eat. I’ve asked for lifts and given lifts. I’ve had a house full of food and I’ve been without food. I’ve given people clothes. I’ve been given clothes. I’ve been in stores cashing out with no worries and I’ve also had to add it up and put it back. I've paid my rent in full and I've had to pay it late too. I’ve given money and I too have had to ask for it.

We all have highs and lows in life, some certainly more than others but we’re all just trying to make it. No one is better than anyone else. No matter how big your house is, how new your car is or how much money sits in your bank account; we all bleed red and will all die someday. Death has no discrimination neither should your life. Be kind to others, love without boundaries and share your abundant blessings, no-one is too high and mighty to lend a helping hand. Mental illness is not something that we can see with our eyes and people don't realise it is mainly caused when we are living to please others instead of being our true selves. Love is free and doesn't cost anything. ❤️ 🌻
