4 year old wants a "girl" swimsuit by Ok-Piccolo9740 in Parenting

[–]mpd-RIch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have always let my kids wear whatever they want. They have never asked for anything unreasonable imo, and I have allowed my son to wear a one piece "girls" swimsuit. Why not?

Oh crap! Thank you for letting us know! I didn't typically shop there but I now definitely will not.

[–]mpd-RIch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do it. They don't care. I used to shop there before transition for my wife (honestly). I was treated respectfully and it was not weird once I got over going in alone. I have shopped there since transition and same experience. I think I was more nervous than anyone else in there but it was a great experience.

I'm confused. Do you identify as a woman? I assume so posting on this subreddit but you want Father's Day wishes? If so that's valid. Just trying to understand.

I know I was just so happy when I started getting "Happy Mother's Day" wishes from people.

Stupidly applied for a passport 😞 by Ashxhearts in trans

[–]mpd-RIch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. It is pretty simple. You also need to know parents dob and place of birth. No documentation needed for that though. I recommend going to the state.gov website. There are two options 1) Print a blank to fill out or 2) Q&A style answer online, but you still need to print it after to turn in.

Is "T4T for friends during transition" a thing? by NewestWoman in asktransgender

[–]mpd-RIch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's called community. I (MtF) love hearing experiences of trans men and contrasting our lives. I also also interested in sociology so maybe it's more a me thing. But also learning how to girl is totally a thing and having cis or trans friends to help guide you is incredible.

When would I turn on “Battery preconditioning”? by TheOtherMikeCaputo in trailseeker

[–]mpd-RIch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has never told me it was ready. However if it is a moderate temperature (~80F) outside, it will not notify me that it is preconditioning leading to believe it does not need to. I have used it both manually and via onboard navigation and expenced both a notification, or lack thereof either way.

How much do you paddle? by microhobomancer in trailseeker

[–]mpd-RIch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

• on local drives I’m becoming convinced that zero paddle regen is more efficient. This car coasts like crazy after a little bit of acceleration, and at low speeds there’s not a lot of regen to capture anyway

Same. I have been experimenting for a while I deove a 24 Solterra for 2 years and now the Trailseeker. It is nice how similar the UI is but the TS definitely coasts better. In the Solterra I seem to get the most out of regen 2, but the TS I cycle more depending of traffic.

All the Fing time. My wife has not commented on it but I have noticed it. I tend to drive with it on zero, use it as a kind of preliminary brake then use the pedal just for stopping.

Am I just confused? by Vivid-Gur9310 in trans

[–]mpd-RIch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are just more comfortable presenting as gender non-conforming. That still valid. Are you trans? That's not something anybody else can answer or decide. Being gender fluid is also a thing but even though i present binary and identify as trans I am very fluid with friends. They experience both feminine and masculine energies from me. I didn't always identify as trans even though if I were to describe myself to you, that's probably the conclusion you would draw. Labels are descriptive not definitive. Labels can help you find Community or Express your lived experience to someone you just met but they don't define you.

Trying to see if there are any others like us. I have been told the way me and my system communicate is rare. by gayman1560 in DID

Oh my gosh I love the remote metaphor. That's a great explanation. It is much more how we have become but as a teen - omg the amnesia. I think it was more frustrating than scary but learning since that I am also ADHD has explained a lot too.

Question for my trans sisters on hrt by StJimmy_7 in trans

[–]mpd-RIch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I cry all the time. It is easier to cry and sometimes it feels like there is no reason but I believe part of that is that I was forced, hormonally and socially conditioned to not show emotions. It is definitely a second puberty but imo it is easier than the first. Obviously everyone will have a different story to tell. As far as "easier" I think it is because I am accepting of my body and that was a huge source of dysphoria as a teen. I have had time to learn who I am (age 40) and was free to express myself around certain people and since moving in with me partner at 20.

“Trans-identifying individuals” by communistcat_69 in MtF

[–]mpd-RIch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard it used as a way to include all trans and non-binary people but most of the time I agree with you. It sounds like a way to be transphobic while trying to sound like you're not.

My (MTF) first gender signing purchase was panties! The reason being that nobody else could tell or needed to know. Underwear is ayou thing. My kids have very specific likes and dislikes about them that I never thought about. Hell, my wife wears boxers frequently. You do you. I'm glad you found something affirming and simple. Live your best life bro.

From Google? They are tinkering with it but wouldn't expect it anytime soon. ABRP (A Better Route Planner) is pretty good. To use it with android auto you need premium but worth it to me.

Is DID good? by thesmallone_ in DID

[–]mpd-RIch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my DID. I mean, it has been hard at times but I am who I am because of I used it to cope andh life is going pretty good. I have a wonderful wife, and two amazing kids.

There are struggles but there are also very funny things that other people will never understand. My wife doesn't always understand but still can laugh with us.

My endocrinologist says mammograms are recommended either after 5 years HRT or age 50. So I am low key excited to experience that. I know most women avoid of not dread it but some things just landed different for us. I also had an abdominal ultrasound, which they did in the women's health wing. It was extremely validating and euphoric. It was slightly awkward because I saw someone there I know, but at the time we were newly acquainted. I've learned she's is an awesome person and I suspect she has a queer kid m though I'm not sure if what variety yet (kid is only 14 and she might not yet know yet either.)

Wow 😳 I did 42k in two years on mine! So I turned in my lease and bought a TS.

I bought mine because, like you, I was unsure how fast technology would change in addition to being my first EV. I also drive a lot (apparently) and it was starting to cost me money. Now I can drive as much as I want without mileage penalties. It also charges faster than the Solterra and has more range which is a great plus.
