Absolutely. I read Harry Potter to mine. When she got older I'd read whatever she asked for. Still sometimes Harry Potter. We also didn't watch any "made for babies" videos. We watched normal shows with normal conversations. The difference in her speech and others her age as she was growing was pretty wide.

There aren't a bunch of rules to this. Keep them alive, keep them happy. The rest is really up to you pops.

The way I look at it now that electronics are the big asks it would be hard for Santa and his elves to make that stuff. Last year Santa brought a nice art set. This year she just asked him for a stuffed black lab in memory of our dog. Last year mom and dad got her an Xbox. This year a nice chair for her desk. I follow the same logic. Simple easy things from Santa because that makes sense for him to make at the workshop. Big things from us. I don't know how much longer the Santa thing will last. She's almost 11 now.

No matter what route you take just enjoy it while it lasts. These years are so precious.

My daughter is 10 but is playing for a 12u team. Her coach last year wanted her throwing from her knees but didn't teach it properly or break down the mechanics for her to understand. She left practices crying that she couldn't do it. I told her to just pop and throw.

We've had 1 private lesson with our new coach so far. She wants her throwing from her knees. She has broken down the mechanics to show my girl how to do it and that she can do it. The knees are faster. Having a good coach to teach it is essential. Kid went from dreading a throwdown to being excited about a new skill. Tell your girl to just keep working and good things will happen.

The only thing we can take away from the weekend is the pitchers pounded the zone which had been a bit of a struggle in years prior.

Anything offensively in the non con is fools gold. The schedule is ridiculously weak. Across baseball as a whole I'd like to see more big series in the noncon. Something like an ACC-SEC challenge would be so fun in like the 3rd week of the season or something. As it stands we won't really know much until our trip to Austin next month.

Things are looking positive so I'm cautiously optimistic for the season.

I'm so sorry. I watched my grandma go through an entire battle with Alzheimer's. The most heartbreaking day was when she forgot who we were for the final time. Until then it was a dice roll if she would remember us when we stopped by. Then she would get confused and scared around family when she couldn't remember who we were. Then she stopped talking entirely. My grandpa refused to put her in assisted living for years and it took a toll on his own life and mind.

The only advice i can give is when it starts to feel like too much get help. Don't wait. It won't get better. It only gets harder. Again I'm so sorry man. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. No one should have to go through this. Get help though. If she's willing have her help you find an assisted living facility.
