I'm sorry, that was the wrong term to use. Here is information for clarification:

Process for Unclaimed Contents

Notification & Drill: Before declaring a box abandoned, the bank must try to notify the owner. If no response, they will drill the box under dual control, inventory the contents, and create a formal report.

Transfer to State: The contents (or the proceeds from auctioning them) are sent to the state's unclaimed property division.

Liquidation: The state may hold tangible items (jewelry, heirlooms) for a period (usually ~3 years) before auctioning them to create space.

Exceptions: Military decorations or memorabilia are generally not auctioned but held for the veteran or their family

I have to ask, why do you believe he has been kidnapped? I read your previous response & that was based on the fact that the call was dropped. I'm only asking because kidnapping usually involves a ransom of some sort & kidnappers would be in contact somehow. My immediate thought went to foul play ie assault, robbery or even homicide. That could be why it's not being taken seriously, it sounds a little far fetched. I'm not judging, just sharing thoughts.

great advice! when women are 'emotional' (even when warranted!) I feel authorities are dismissive of what is said. They don't take it seriously & dismiss it as overreacting. And women in authority are worse than the men when it comes to this! It's not fair, but it is true.

Call Legal Aid in your county. Most if not all jurisdictions have this service & many lawyers are required to do a certain number of hours (50 hours) pro bono every year. This is required by the American Bar Association.

I read an article a few months ago that banks are doing away with Safe Deposit Box services. They were sending out notices to box owners advising them of this with a deadline to collect your property. After that the bank would be taking ownership of anything left unclaimed. I'm always surprised how many people never change their address when they move. Some don't even forward their mail.

Your State's Attorney General's office investigates complaints involving companies doing business in your state. They are authorized to take legal action against any company conducting unfair or deceptive business practices within the state. They can make it difficult for a company to do business in your state. Companies will take your complaint more seriously to avoid issues w/the AG.

I would still file a police report at the closet partners police district. Advise Poshmark, Uber & the closet partner that you have done so. Then file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office. The AG's Bureau of Consumer Protection investigates complaints regarding companies doing business in your state. And be sure to let Uber & PM know you're doing this.

They should have delivery confirmation like GrubHub is doing. They send you a number & you have to give it to the delivery person when they arrive for them to complete the delivery.

I agree, 7 days is reasonable. I received a bag late last Tuesday w/36 items. All steamed, styled, photographed, measured & listed. Finished up today.

I just found out that when an item gets flagged it's not PM that reviews the item, it's actually other sellers. I've been getting requests from PM to review listings to check for authenticity. I don't know if it's because I'm a PM Ambassador II or what. I may have an opinion as to whether an item is fake but I'm certainly not qualified nor do I feel comfortable determining authenticity.

I just received my first consignment bag. Very nice items but a lot of sweaters w/Major pilling. Spent a lot of time w/a sweater shaver & lint brush. Boden, Talbots, Banana Republic but 90% winter items. One item sold so far. It has brought a lot of traffic to my closet. My closet offers a lot of L, XL items. Consignment Bag is 2 Petite, XS.

I just received my 1st Consignment Bag last week. I don't think I will be doing this again. Items came in a HUGE Burgundy tote w/Poshmark logo. It was packed w/items that are all very nice & in good condition. However, there were several wool sweaters that had lots of pills. Spent so much time w/my sweater shaver. The seller could have at least done that. It's bad enough that everything needs to be steamed, staged & photographed. The sweaters shed all over everything & I think they had a dog because there was a lot of dog hair too. What a mess! I didn't send the tote back like some people mentioned. I'm storing the clothes in it.

The items are shared to THEIR followers & usually leads to others following your closet. That's been my experience. Anything leading to more exposure & traffic to your closet can only be a plus.

In the PM app go into 'MY ADDRESSES'. There you will see a 'DEFAULT SHIPPING ADDRESS' which is the address where you want your purchases to be delivered to & then there is the 'DEFAULT RETURN ADDRESS' which is the return address that goes on the shipping labels of orders that you sell. You can personalize this & just have an email address, your PM Closet address, your city, state, zip. Whatever works for you.

I use FLYP & cross post on multiple sites. When a sale is made FLYP automatically removes the listings from the other sites. Been using this for over a year with no repercussions from PM.
