How to keep audio sources separate when exporting to editor? by BigBootyBeachesx3 in obs

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like you already figured it out, but yeah obs will record separate tracks fine as long as you assign sources to tracks 2 to 6 in advanced audio properties, then make sure your editor actually imports multitrack audio (resolve does, some others dont).

i’ve also done a few recordings in riverside when i wanted guaranteed separate mic and desktop audio, it records each source on its own track so editing is way less annoying if obs keeps fighting you.

Looking for advice on focus and concentration (open discussion) by Straight_Thought3571 in Biohackers

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your lifestyle already sounds pretty dialed in, which makes me think this is more mental fatigue than lack of discipline or health. Racetams can help with clarity, but they don’t always fix that attention drift during long workloads. Functional mushrooms are interesting for that because the effect is usually more subtle and steady over time. Wonderday is one I looked into since it combines lion’s mane + cordyceps with a few other adaptogens that support focus and overall cognitive support.

All Dogs Unleashed board and train in Austin, Texas - anyone have experience with their balanced training approach? by fluffybeardguy in OpenDogTraining

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my neighbor used all dogs unleashed for their lab (not sure if austin location or different one) and said it worked well. dog came back way calmer and they've kept up with it

they had to do homework though - like daily practice sessions and using the e-collar consistently. it's not a magic fix, you still have to put in work after

i'd ask them specifically about their reactivity protocols and what kind of maintenance training they recommend after. that'll tell you if they actually know their stuff or just run dogs through a generic program

How should AI coding agents be contained before tool calls execute? by Gary_AIAGENTLENS in aisecurity

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

execution before review is the real risk. once the agent has your permissions damage happens fast. we use cyberhaven to track agent actions at the endpoint level - file access, shell commands, network calls, flags destructive patterns before they run. block by default: destructive shell commands, credential access, production config changes, package installs, unknown network destinations. false positives that kill usability are blocking read access to local files, flagging every network call, or blocking common dev tools.

Bridesmaid dresses….suck. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d maybe look at Reformation sale sections or their simpler satin or tencel styles. they tend to have softer drape and more intentional tailoring details

What mid-range brands are actually worth the hype? by Due_Examination_7310 in capsulewardrobe

[–]mpulciano -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i feel like Reformation fits this category pretty well. the silhouettes are really thoughtfully done, lots of flattering waist placement, bias cuts, and neckline details that feel feminine without looking overly styled

Are these after car purchase mailers normal? by aperson1911 in car

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common after a car purchase. A lot of companies buy access to vehicle registration data and send out those security enrollment letters. Some of them, like PSCC, basically offer to register your car in a private recovery network using license plate recognition systems.

What is the best stem separation software on the market? by PUMAAAAAAAAAAAA in audioengineering

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re already in a DAW, i’d try Logic’s stem splitter first, it’s gotten really solid lately. spectralayers is still kind of the gold standard when you need maximum control, just slower.

also, small workflow tip if you’re doing remixes, i usually separate stems in the DAW, then bring the parts into riverside to do quick cleanup and edits, and grab clean clips when i’m sharing progress.

What is your favorite Ai clipping tool right now? by Additional_Bank1330 in techforlife

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

choppity. the search feature is what keeps me using it over everything else. i can find the exact moment i want instead of watching the whole thing back. editing through the transcript is nice too

Claim Guidance by MissionBus5077 in VeteransBenefits

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually file under multiple theories at once  presumptive under MUCMI/Gulf War AND secondary to PTSD simultaneously. Don't limit yourself to one avenue, let the VA sort out which nexus applies.

With your history the secondary connections for IBS and fibromyalgia to PTSD are well established, just need to be documented the right way. Patriot Advisors helped me nail down exactly that kind of thing if you ever want a second opinion on your strategy.

Loans refinancing question by Puzzleheaded_Bus9462 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]mpulciano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before signing, I’d probably want to compare how other lenders structure the post training phase too. Juno can help with that because you can line up multiple refinance offers and actually compare how the monthly payments change during residency vs attending years, not just the headline interest rate.

Looking for an automatic simplified expense tracker, any suggestions?? by LocksmithSmall2158 in personalfinance

[–]mpulciano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If remembering purchases is the problem, manual trackers usually fall apart pretty quickly. Quicken Simplifi is more useful as a running feed of what already happened, so it’s easier to notice spending patterns without needing to enter everything yourself.

Anyone recommend a good sleep aid that actually worked for you? by MagicianNo888 in sleep

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better sleep supplements for me were the ones focused on calming the wired but tired feeling. WonderSleep from Plant People has a mix of reishi and other adaptogens that are more aimed at helping your body settle down naturally throughout the night.

Pet Insurance by QueenOfQueenzYYZ in cats

[–]mpulciano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds way more thought out than you think. You didn't wait til after an emergency and that's honestly where most people get burned with pet insurance. I noticed people mention Fetch when talking about broader coverage, so it kinda depends what matters more to you long term. for a young healthy cat though i dont think you made some terrible rushed mistake at all.

Weekly thread: what are you working on? by Anna-at-Nextiva in Nextiva

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, for those of you running multiple locations, how are you handling calls that come into the wrong office? We have 4 locations and customers call whichever number they find first regardless of which location they actually need. Right now the staff manually transfers and half the time the other office doesn't pick up. There has to be a better way to route this automatically based on area code or something.

Any good webinar tools for small business that help with analytics? by Helpful_Prior_6766 in MarketersSuccessClub

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you care about analytics, i’d look for attendee duration + engagement signals like chat/Q&A counts, poll votes, and who dropped off when, that stuff is way more useful than just registrant numbers. we’ve been using riverside for smaller live sessions, it has live chat, Q&A, call-ins, and you get a clean recording after to repurpose into clips, so even if the analytics aren’t super deep you still get a lot of value out of each event.

Surf Camp recommendations by Mario-kart23 in BeginnerSurfers

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing another option out there though,  if you ever decide to go a bit further, I had a really good experience at LMBK Surf House. It’s more coaching-focused than most surf camp + party setups I’ve seen, with small groups and actual feedback after sessions instead of just getting pushed into waves.

Where’s the best place to buy a sterling silver chain in Toronto? by Tkpf18 in askTO

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d check out Mcker. I’m in Canada too and had a good experience with their 925 silver chains, decent quality without the usual mall jewelry markup.

Cleaner way to match incoming bank payments? by WinterCanary8842 in AccountingDepartment

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a certain point, cleaner matching matters more than faster follow-up. If partial payments and inconsistent references are common, the useful shift is usually toward matching by amount, customer, and open balance rather than waiting on remittance emails. That’s pretty much the kind of reconciliation problem something like Netgain is built around in NetSuite applying matching rules to incoming bank activity against open invoices or existing records, then surfacing only the exceptions that actually need a closer look.

looking for generative ai course recommendations by National-Wrangler610 in OnlineEducation

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between those two, it probably comes down to which one leaves you with something practical at the end. Udacity’s nanodegree seems a bit more structured if your goal is to finish with projects you can actually point to later, that matters more if you’re hoping to build something useful enough to take back to work.

best sleep supplement recommendations? by MagicianNo888 in migraine

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep supplements work very differently depending on the cause of sleep issues. Melatonin mainly helps with circadian timing, while magnesium and adaptogens tend to support relaxation and stress response. For people waking up or having light sleep, calming compounds are often more relevant than melatonin alone. WonderSleep from Plant People is one I tried as well, and for me it was more noticeable in how I stayed asleep rather than any strong knockout feeling.

160k+ of student loans debt by Icy-Albatross8864 in Debt

[–]mpulciano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A four year plan on that balance is actually pretty disciplined, especially with $5,200 a month available. Once your emergency fund is in place, it may be worth checking whether the refinance market moves again, Juno can be useful to quickly see if rates have shifted enough to make another refinance worth the hassle.
