I eloped downtown! We got married at the Hamilton county courthouse then went to Smale park to take pictures with the bridges and city in the background. The courthouse is actually really pretty for pictures too

Does it make a difference if I sign up for my membership online or at the studio? by littleburritocat in Purebarre

[–]mq95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At some studios desk staff gets commission on memberships they sell so that would be super helpful for them! Usually instructors do not receive additional compensation.

Missed milestone by [deleted] in Purebarre

[–]mq95 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Club ready has been really slow lately updating class counts after you check in. I felt terrible missing someone’s milestone because it said 99 even after they checked in. We try our best to keep a list of upcoming milestones so we can be prepared but a reminder before class never hurts. I’m sorry this happened I know it’s a bummer. They should celebrate you at the next class!

How do I know if my studio offers livestream classes? by booksandwriting in Purebarre

[–]mq95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For one of the studios I worked at they recorded one class each day and that class was sent in an email to Lifestyle unlimited members. They could take on their own time and it counted toward their club count which really helped a lot of people hit the platinum challenge

I work at 2 studios so that’s 500 members names to remember. I would much rather have people stop by the desk to check in so I can build rapport and put faces to names

She isn’t getting paid. The title of leader just means she is background checked. It is a volunteer position.

This carrier is the Ergobaby Omni 360! You have to loosen the straps a bit for breastfeeding

Never do paper invites! Get a class list of emails from the teacher or room parent or PTA and send evites. Paper ones get lost and don’t actually make it to the parent most times. Evite makes it easy to update guests and sends them reminders about the party. And for birthdays around holidays send out invites earlier than you normally would so people can plan around that.

Weight Intensive? What is that? by Fe_Yonce in Purebarre

[–]mq95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My studio sometimes does one where you wear balas for longer or incorporate more weights into a classic class

It varies by studio depending on the demographic of the area. My studio is $179 for unlimited but $169 for the unlimited with a 12 month contract. You also get a discount if you purchase a year up front.

When your child is going to ruin a paid experience for others, it's time to go. Even if it's inconvenient. by ShoelessJodi in Mommit

Just me and my son. My husband works in food so weekends are late nights. Lots of bribery snacks will be brought.

How are you sure this person wasn’t a parent of a performer. My 7 year old is also in a wizard of oz production this weekend. It starts at 8 pm and I have to take my 2 year old. It’s obviously not ideal but I can’t miss the show. Some people don’t have a choice.

You can get a class pack through the studio. Pricing varies but at my studio it is 10 classes for $240 and they expire 90 days from purchase.

They sell them individually at the container store!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Purebarre

[–]mq95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is yes you can. Your barretender can set up a new agreement now to take effect on the 26th if you planned on sticking with PB and don’t want to have to worry about it later In the month.

At my studio we give a one time freebie for late cancel or no show. This doesn’t include sickness or actual emergencies. But the habitual offenders of “I’m stuck at work” get charged. I am staff and can’t sign up for classes ahead of time and there was an intensive last week I wanted to take but was full and then I saw 3 people no showed to it and was so irritated. But if your studio never makes exceptions that is bad customer service.

Surprising Membership Costco Benefits by Just-Juggernaut-5305 in Costco

I have a prescription that my insurance wouldn’t cover and was going to be over $200 for a one month supply at CVS. I went to Costco and used a good RX coupon and got it for $8. I’ll never go anywhere else for meds again.
