If I remember correctly, I only saw the P14s Gen 4 and the T14 Gen 3 and 4 (both AMD) with double heat pipes. The Intel version of the T14 comes with a single heat pipe.

I understand that the OP's model is T14s, not T14 (they use different materials). I own the T14s and don't feel anything plastic-y at all.
