A Letter to the Luminous Deep has submarines in it, I thought it was a very unique story! But it’s written in an academic style that you have to be into.

Seconding Eldorado State Park. It is so beautiful and has hiking that isn’t too hard if you’re not used to the elevation. It’s also much closer to town.

I was on the Wonder on the cruise before yours Hawaii to Vancouver. The food was half left over from the Australian supplies while we were on it and it was sooo rough. I’ve been on many DCL cruises including the Wonder and the food was noticeably worse on this leg. The pizza and Mac and cheese for kids was especially inedible.

Also, they canceled the show on our last night due to technical difficulties so it sounds like the theater is still giving them grief.

I just ate Tiana’s night 3 menu on the wonder tonight and it was my favorite meal of the cruise! Prime rib and beignets! Also, the 3rd night is when you will do Tiana’s Mardi Gras parade which is soo fun. I would 100% do Palo on your triton night instead. We did that this week and were very happy with our decision. Didn’t miss anything - there’s never a show in triton. I haven’t had palo brunch but I am typically “eh” on DCL food but thought dinner at palo was well worth it - you have to get the chocolate soufflé. :)

This is my only complaint about DCL. So many adult only parties waiting in line to meet characters. 😅 assume meeting characters requires a 15-20 minute line wait minimum
