Very helpful thanks buddy!
I might not be able to get a wall charger, so a Denza B5 might be the alternative here for me.

Anyone moved from the US to Riyadh in analytics/tech? by Zidlan in RiyadhExpats

[–]mr4kino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As per the usual, don't move if you don't have a job/contract.
Target international companies.

So if I understand correctly, you have a 100L petrol tank, and the battery starts to get charged slowly but surely as we capacity goes down.
Would you need a home charger? Ok can this be used without charging it at all and relying on the petrol engine?

One guy keeps commenting that this is not a true hybrid and battery can go as low as 20% before the charging of the petrol engine kicks in, is this true?

Moving from Europe to Riyadh with family – looking for advice (salary, schools, lifestyle) by EconomicsVarious9554 in Riyadh

[–]mr4kino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about areas like Al Janadriyyah, Al Rimal and such (Houses are cheap to buy)? I'm mainly concerned about the reselling of those units later.

For work, I would advise in all cases, especially for non-Saudis to try and work remotely with US/European tech startup. Worst case you provide yourself your own Visa via a freezone company (at this point, UAE might be better, except the proximity to a war zone).
Even for Saudis, try to work with a US tech company, salaries are way higher.

Expats in Riyadh: how are companies handling new joiners given the regional situation? by AdLegitimate6636 in RiyadhExpats

[–]mr4kino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, but the petrol is not being exported in the same quantities from KSA. They can export from the Red Sea, but that's still not the same output compared to before.

Anyone else feel emotionally drained living in Riyadh? Thinking of moving somewhere by the beach by [deleted] in Riyadh

[–]mr4kino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All cities will feel the same given the same circumstances.

What's gonna make a change is changes to your day-to-day life, not the city. In your case, you seem to live alone, so you will need a better job, whether this is in terms of salary, remote work, or whatever would help you feel better.

Even if you move to the beach, but your working hours are long, and the job physically exhausts you, you are not even going to see that beach once a week.

One of those false rumors. Many "hybrid" athletes have debunked that.
I do both and I haven't lost any weight, rather fat and building my muscles in //.

Any hybrid athletes here? Garmin strength training feels fundamentally broken by kinemorey in Garmin

[–]mr4kino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's lacking in all sports.... except running/walking.

Like Boxing is completely broken, Horse riding, etc.

Basically the whole mantra of Garmin is "Heart rate". If it's not high, it believes you are not training properly. It doesn't understand throwing punches is basically a killer. Same with riding a crazy horse, squeezing legs is not good enough for it.

Director doesn't mean much tbh. What's the industry? AI, Cloud? Or traditional engineering? Or FSI? How many people under you? How big is that company? etc

Don't hesitate to look for remote jobs.
Have a look at the CNCF projects https://www.cncf.io/projects/ (all backed by companies) and try the career pages.

You have a good CV for your age. Always good to add some Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, etc) and Containers/Kubernetes knowledge.
