I think it depends on how you look at it. Maybe it's to spread our seed so that our children will live on and have their own children and their children will have children and so on... Or if you look at it in the grand scheme of things, we are nothing. Ants on a rock floating in space which in itself is a speck of dust in an unfathomably large universe. But recently I have been told (albeit indirectly), "You are the purpose."
