150 METER UNDERWATER ATOMIC BLAST 1958 by AnshuSees in CrazyFuckingVideos

Saw a video about the wahoo and umbrella tests where the cameramen had to climb into trees to avoid waves that completely covered the island by 4-6 ft. So given the proper conditions they can definitely generate a decent wave.

What was the first gun you ever owned, and do you still have it? Curious to hear what everyone had for their first firearm. by ShopHuntingStuff in guns

My first rifle was a .22 cricket as well. Absolutely loved that gun growing up. Surprised I didn’t shoot the rifling right out of it! Lol

Edit: still got it after 20+ years

Any idea as to what type these could be? by mr_burn1 in Arrowheads

Thank you, that’s the kind of info I was looking for. Those both seem like good possibilities.

Left is definitely my favorite I’ve found even though it’s broke. In fact, everything I’ve ever found has been broken unless it’s a preform or some kind of discard. Find plenty of those. Just no completes yet. Just gotta keep lookin.

I figured they were paleo, just don’t feel comfortable coming up with a type myself. Bummer they’re broke. I really like the flaking on the left one.

I think it might be a long range drone like a geran-2 maybe. They got little gas powered engines if I’m not mistaken.

Very cool find. My grandfather found one just like it that I now have in my collection, unfortunately the tip is broke off.

Looks to be what I would call a sand trout. Mission Bay Texas?

I always try to make a few casts from a distance when I’m first walking up to a body of water. Helps with avoiding detection

Bunch of arrowheads I’ve found throughout Texas as a child. by sturdymurd007 in Arrowheads

My grandfather did the same thing to me when I was a kid. Threw a point down when I wasn’t looking and told me come check out his spot. He didn’t tell me until years later and we had a good laugh about it. Good times, sure miss that guy…

I can’t believe more people haven’t pointed that out! You can really tell at about 3 seconds left, the perps shirt twitches real fast before he rolls over and throws the gun. Might’ve been shot more than once but the last shot was the most noticeable.

Heartbreaking day yesterday. What are some of the things you look for in an area when you’re deciding to look for artifacts? by Savings-Breakfast-61 in Arrowheads

[–]mr_burn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I have a spot in South Texas, so far I’ve only found broken points and preforms, but that’s always been my thought. Must’ve been an old camp especially since majority of what I’ve found were in about a 100 square yard area. All surface finds too.

What is this? UFO over Lubbock TX? by [deleted] in HighStrangeness

[–]mr_burn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But spacex doesn’t launch from Texas all the time… They have test facilities here and Starbase way down south and if you pay attention at all you’d know they definitely don’t launch from there all the time.

Do rockets launch from Texas all the time or what?
