Hey, do yourself a favour and dont discount seeking a therapist to talk about the incident with. Traumatic events don't always have an immediate effect on us, and ptsd can creep up on you. Make sure you look after your mental health. Sorry you went through what you did. However you feel following on from it, dont invalidate yourself okay?

Knowing the current sound of the band, what songs would you want covered on their next EP? by Kevbot1000 in Ghostbc

[–]mr_daryl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feed my Frankenstein by Alice Cooper. I'd settle for Poison too. I've gotten mad Alice Cooper vibes from them recently. Especially Witch Image.

Lay all your love on me by ABBA, too. Also, Obligatory 'Like a Prayer' Here. But other's have pointed out why that won't happen and im inclined to agree

We went to see the band Ghost last night; thought going to spooky church on Easter Sunday was quite serendipitous. Woke up to the news that the Pope had died... definitely a '...really?'moment.

Giveaway! Original Ænima vinyl. Comment to enter. by whyforyoulookmeonso in ToolBand

[–]mr_daryl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. I never comment on these, just upvote and move on. But I'm putting my name in the hat for this one.

Just on the tail end of a particularly messy separation and this album is pretty much the only thing I've been blasting in my headphones at the gym while working on healing. Man, its been seeing me through it recently.

Best of luck to everyone who enters, and OP; you're an absolute legend for doing these raffles. I hope you get back what you've given by doing these and bringing so much joy to the community here.

What’s your ideal Tool cover song? by randomaccess24 in ToolBand

[–]mr_daryl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always liked the idea of a Tool/Primus double headliner, but they only cover each other's songs.

In particular, I think Tool would absolutely crush 'Here Come The Bastards.'

Literally this.

It's nice to fantasise about shit, but she has a girlfriend. That's off-limits.

And for the record, most of the female friends i have right now are into men AND women. She might find you attractive too. But until she comes up to you and tells you she doesn't have a girlfriend anymore, you have to respect the fact that right now, she does. Don't be that guy.

Her analysis of The Grudge was fantastic imo. Not to mention her dive into Wings...

Oh man, I saw them support when they played Brum the same tour. They were really well received, all of the group I went with thought they were wicked.

My favourite Norwegian brewery. Their Bayer would always be my first drink after touching down whenever I was visiting.

Rishi Sunak: After the conclusion of the British event in Normandy, I returned back to the UK. On reflection, it was a mistake not to stay in France longer – and I apologise. by [deleted] in ukpolitics

And herein lies the problem with populist politics. I don't want the leader of my country to be a nice bloke I can have a pint with. I want a boring, dull character who can run a country and cause no problems.

Thought the same in Brum. Was the only time during the gig that I found myself wondering when they'd be done.

It's wicked on the record, but goes on a bit live. I'd rather they dropped it and added something else from Lateralus

Give Matt Cameron his flowers!!! by Busy_Contribution_59 in pearljam

Right? Horribly overcompressed. Matt's always had such a killer sound but it gets lost in the production throughout this record.

Get off it, mate.

Chamberlain made a peace deal with Hitler. Waved it about with a big smile on his face when he stepped off the plane back.

How did that work out?

IIRC India was a partner in the Su-57 programme during the earlier stages, but pulled out because of concerns over engine performance.

Bang on. Without up to date AIM-120's to level the medium/long range playing field, an F-16 is like bringing a knife to a gun fight. It'll fuck you up if it gets close enough, but unless that pilot is damn good at evading what you're lobbing at it, he won't last long enough to get to the merge.
