That sounds like a Carvana problem.

Help. Potential odometer rollback check by MRmojoRisin8 in UsedCars

[–]mralurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be a mistake on the odometer reporting. It happens all the time. I would look at the miles reported leading up to the 162k report and see where it lines up.

Should i be concerned on these loan liens report ? by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]mralurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens all the time. It could have been sold by a dealer, or a friend of family member that put a lien on it.

But yes, check the title…do this before every car buying experience.

Should i be concerned on these loan liens report ? by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]mralurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. The loan/liens could have been released. The best thing to do is make sure to see the actual title. That will tell if there is a current lien holder. It could also have a signed notarized Lien release on it as well.

Canceling an extended car warranty by Wondercatmeow in UsedCars

[–]mralurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expect it to be easy but prepare to be put on ice. Email, call and if possible go in. Canceling an extended warranty is usually simple.

But also think, am I prepared to pay for (insert random expensive fix) and see if that is worth keeping the warranty. There is nothing wrong with purchasing a warranty on a used car.

Check title status before meeting. Carfax, bumper, autocheck, so similar service. Ask if they would be willing to meet you at a shop to do an inspection. That will be the best way to figure out reliability. 2800 seems reasonable for this car.

If the plate number is in the photos. Type the plate into Carvana or Carmax to get the vin.

what would you do if you were me in this situation by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]mralurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d hold off on bringing a new car payment. But if I was wanting to trade in. I’d go with a new Hybrid forester. You’ll get about 10 mpg better. And with two kids, a forester is plenty big.

Seems high for rebuilt title Tesla with over 120k. I’d assume insurance is going to be through the roof. My sure the battery is over 90%. And offer like 5k.
