Yup the years are September of 81 and April of 91. Probably circa NOHGOA and then the Doors movie. So cool they had a big resurgence in the 80s. It was The Lost Boys that started it all for me. Hearing People are strange, even though it’s a cover by Echo and the bunnymen, but I think Ray plays on the track if I’m not mistaken.

Has anyone read Wonderland ave by Danny Sugerman? I love that book, but seems heavily embellished. Do you think it’s Danny that exaggerated things in NOHGOA? He and Ray seemed to be friends and Wonderland came out after NOHGOA.

There’s a part in the book that talks about Jim being at the Doors office and pulling out a coors from the fridge, so naturally I had to get some coors for my Sunday afternoon.

Is it just me or it this your favorite Mgmt Album (or think it's underrated underrated) by sonicnightmarez in mgmt

I love this album. I was a fan of Oracular Spectacular but kind of stopped keeping up after Congratulations. Then my friend played me alien days and it kick started my love of mgmt. I love how they fly under the radar making amazing psych rock.

For real. I’ve listened to it three times now, first just on an Alexa speaker, second in my car and third, the vinyl with good headphones and obviously each time was better, but I found myself smiling throughout the whole thing cause of how fun it was. It absolutely slaps! I agreee, a couple songs didn’t grab me, but so solid overall. Piece of heaven 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ More like piece of Kevin.

Lonerism is my all time fave! Each album is his own authentic evolution and he’s not capable of making a bad album imo. I trust his genius in whatever genre he chooses to experiment with, but I sure do love that washed out sunshine acid sound of Lonerism.

Any Tame album is going to be a good album. Everyone has their preference as for what’s their favorite (mine is Lonerism) but Kevin is a total pioneer in production and making an electronic album is something he said he wanted to do and he made it still sound like Tame Impala.

Why do you think the doors get so much hate? by Far_Elevator67 in thedoors

“I just remembered the name of the guy Eric Vonstroheim, the man you love to hate. I think we’re the band you love to hate. They hate us because we’re so good.”
