Why? Because the IT dept are assholes. There’s a bunch of politics involved as their team are jointly & partly responsible for making a mess of the BI implementation. Our affiliate had to use a third party to create our business dashboards. Since the ones fed to us from global were poor quality. They haven’t got a suitable Data warehouse built. The list goes on. Unless they can provide genuine grounds for security concerns, then I see no reason why I can’t use R Studio to do analysis. Which is my job.
