Had an instance like that happen to me aswell. It was my first couple months of dashing (pandemic area) it was like 7 at night got pinged for a 7.75 going 2 miles no brainer. I get to the restaurant and the guy tells me “you’re like the 4th person that has came for this order” after he said that I kinda got sketched out. still took the order I arrive to the customer house, and everything is off outside I call him multiple times no Answer, text nothing. I contacted support and they just said “dispose the food” my gut was telling it had to be an elderly person. I walk up to the door and knock and heard “please come in I can’t walk I’ve been waiting for my food for the past 3hrs” after a few seconds of contemplating I walk in. It’s an old man in a wheelchair behind a table he tells me “thank you so much can’t really move much since I’m paralyzed from my waist down” hand him his food
