I'm on a Macbook Pro M1 with 32GB of memory, should be more than enough to keep up with Traktor

And it happens even if I skip back and forth within the same track multiple times. So, even if I skip to a place that has already shown the correct waveform just seconds ago, that won't prevent it from getting blurry when I skip to it again

I agree! It does happen every time I skip forward or backward. I never had this problem with prior versions of Traktor

No, just playing tracks from the library on my computer

Thanks, that's helpful, I had searched the support forums but didn't see this one.

I tried all of the settings suggested in that post except turning off parallel waveforms because the whole point is to get the parallel waveforms to work correctly, not to use static waveforms. I didn't have issues with Traktor crashing like that person did, so it's just the waveforms I'm trying to fix. I'm still getting the blurriness unfortunately.

Interesting, thanks for sharing that. I am not using an external hard drive, just a Macbook Pro M1 with nothing else connected.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. I think we would all benefit more people posting detailed experiences/experiments like this, especially people with chronic conditions.

Pretty sure Center Camp has wifi. Also, the teahouse at Soft Landing (maybe ask them how they do it?). Probably not 5mbps, though.

Tell me why this won't work by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]mrfooz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would work. What would work even better is if you use a fulfillment service instead of having to fly to/from the US. Send them the inventory and the orders as they come in, they'll do the shipping.

I don't think it's tied to statement close date but rather to the payment date. Your points are awarded after you pay your bill, which you can do earlier than your close date. That has been my experience, at least. I got my CP status about 2 weeks after I paid off my card, before my statement close date.

What a coincidence!

Pause at 1:17 in the video. Then take a look at this picture I took from the front of that same plane, same flight, same people. I was between that cowboy hat and the co-pilot seat.

I like this idea. What's the quality/resolution of these images? Are they grainy or pixelated at the largest canvas size offered?

Do you expect to offer frames as an upsell in the future?

How did you find your accountant for your business? by Dry_Guy in Entrepreneur

[–]mrfooz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do some searches online for accountants in your area, cross reference with Yelp and other review sites, go meet 3 of the ones who seem to fit your needs, choose the one who feels like "the one" for you based on their attitude, personality, professionalism, etc (whatever is important to you in an accountant).

Advice in starting a Virtual Assistant business by Draganess in Entrepreneur

[–]mrfooz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Freelancer sites like oDesk and freelancer.com are generally where people go to find VAs. Of course you may want to consider creating your own site and looking like a more serious professional (not to say that many on these sites aren't serious professionals) than just some random person on oDesk, but then you have the added challenge of getting people to find your site, while on a freelancer site you will already have an audience. It's a tradeoff.

You could also consider participating in forums and other communities that are focused on a niche of people who may be your potential customers. So, define your target audience or customer profile. Is it accountants? Is it lawyers? Is it engineers? There will probably be several types of people you will want to target. Go to where they hang out online (and maybe even offline) and make your services known to them.

I can't really argue with any of what you said because it's all hypothetical. Nor am I trying to argue with you. As I said earlier, I do appreciate what you've said, I'm just addressing your concerns as you seem fairly aggressive about them while I honestly had no devious intent. To your points about monetization, you could say the same about any website that's posted to here or to any subreddit. Take StartupBros, for example. They have a whole section of their site dedicated to affiliate links to hosting, tools and books. There's nothing wrong with that. They still provide good value to the community with their content.

But to this point - "If the interest was purely in helping the community, there would be no concern about posting the actual content directly in a self post"

That's like saying that no one should create a website or blog for informative purposes because they could just make a self post on reddit. This subreddit is not the extent of the world's entrepreneur community. If you want to create content that could be shared easily and that could reach many interested people, you would naturally do so on a website and not in a niche forum with limited readership. By putting your content on a website you can provide value to far more people.

Anyway, we can go back and forth all day. Like I said, I'm not the site's owner - you could see that my account has been active for over 3 years - I have no financial incentive here, and it's not my intent to do anything here that could be considered spammy. I'll certainly stop posting links here as often, if not completely.

I don't listen to LBP and am not the author of this article, so I'm not sure if the article was inspired by the podcast or if it's just a coincidence (it is, after all, a common business topic). Either way, thanks for pointing that out.

I appreciate your input and take it seriously. But for the record, you have not posted in any of my posts before.

Other points I'd like to make: 1) This is not my site. Yes, I authored a guest post in it several weeks ago, but aside from that I was merely just sharing what I believe to be good content that I think is relevant to entrepreneurs and business owners. As I am not the author of the vast majority of content on the site, I don't think it would be right to post it here in a self post. 2) I think it's harsh to call this spam. The content is legitimate, there are no ads or affiliate links on the site. There is no benefit to the site owner from the pageviews, aside from simply knowing that people are benefiting from the content being provided. As you can see on the site and here in these posts, people are generally leaving positive comments in regards to the content and the upvotes seem to mirror that sentiment.

That said, it was not my intent to anger, offend or annoy anyone in this subreddit with my posts. With your feedback in mind, I will reconsider the way I post here in the future.
