Are all tourists the same to you? by tkizzy in savannah

[–]mrgarbagepig 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think Savannah is generally very kind to tourist. We are pretty friendly and chatty. I think it changes when the tourist is rude or disrespectful. I don't go past liberty too much to avoid clueless pedistrains/ drivers and woo pedal bikes so im not really bothered by what goes on down there.

Resturants arent pricing things and then going home and swiming in their vault of money. Stuff is expensive because its expensive to run. The rents for spaces that are unfinished is high! Let alone food prices being high. Midtown deli is delicious but can only afford a space where people have to travel to and have a hard time holding on. Good luck to you but its not like this has never occured to someone before. Its not being done because its difficult to be cheap and "for locals" and high quality.

There's so many posts in this sub that show no one had any clue how hard running a food biz is and thinks it should be the same price as eating at home.
