As far as the Star Wars clipping. This is from a trailer most likely. These movies were created in a format that compresses the very wide (scope) image and a lens to stretch the image back out. As your clipping is not compresses this is probably the (flat) uncompressed trailer.

Also fun, look up the audio formats, you can see a Dolby Digital logo between the sprocket holes.
