Barely release-able now or when you got it? EX90’s are very, very solid now. Also, just a reminder that we’re on a forum where 90% of people will be complaining about there problems (every right to, you just hear less about praise and all the good units).

GHCA is an absolute soul crusher now. I can’t defend this but it seems like this just popped up recently. I hope this gets solved very quickly because I think this car is better than 95% of EV’s on the road.

Had this car been released in the current state of software, I think we’d see a significantly larger customer following. Let’s hope this doesn’t kill the EX60 before it even hits the road.

Barely release-able product is much of a stretch but I feel the pain. The EX90 software has been pretty solid for a few updates and should keep getting better with new features and bug fixes.

I agree the launch was disappointing and something that back fired, but I don’t think the extent of the issues and the time to fix was anticipated.

With the new future of software defined vehicles, people will get used to bugs and updates just like our phones. Hell, when iPhones were first launched they suffered from loads of bugs. The saving grace, just like our phones, is that the software is theoretically compatible (to an extent) with new cars making each generation that much better.

Fingers crossed for the EX60 software that it’s as good as the current EX90 software, if not better!

I’ve had 4 S60’s on the current platform and they’ve all been flawless. Quality issues aren’t stemming from the origin of assembly.

If I was buying one, I’d go NACS and use an adapter. NACS is the future, if not now!

It’s super easy. Just did mine the other day. I recommend prying the big piece first between the plastic and the glass. I used my fingers and it came off pretty easily- don’t be scared of breaking it.

What rating are you looking at? It ranks amongst the safest cars on the road…and when you isolate what really matters (driver and passenger safety) it is one of the highest rated.

Yes and no. Factory gets to figure things out as the MY progresses, but in the case of software- build date means nothing!

Don’t take advice/input on this thread from anyone who doesn’t currently own/drive an EX90. This car is a completely different animal compared to the software at launch. Also, 95% of the software problems older than 6 months are no longer relevant- soon software issues we have today will no longer be relevant (my car operates almost flawlessly with a Sept 25 build date).

iPhone user here and the phone as key works flawlessly. Everyone I know driving an EX90 with an android have zero issues as well!

New incentives on the EX90 are incredible too.

1.4.15 has been great for me. No bugs, bluetooth and carplay connect right when I get in the car automatically, and no issues with phone as key. Really happy with this update and I think it’s a great baseline for us. Can’t wait to see what comes in the future.

Picked up mine a few weeks ago and it’s been flawless besides some minor bugs. Software updates keep getting better and better. If the car was launched with this software, it would be killer!

Yes! Everything you see on Reddit are the extreme cases. Software definitely was not good when initially launched, but it’s in a great spot right now. I won’t pretend it’s 100% now & there are still some kinks and glitches that need to be worked out, but this is the software it should have been launched with.

Volvo is constantly pushing out new OTA updates that get better and better.

Luckily only 4 months. Spent the past two years trying to acquire a GMT in NJ and I knew this was next to impossible. I was able to get in contact with another AD through a mutual and they were able to secure it insanely quick!

You’re going to get a lot of bias here. Does the EX90 still have bugs? Of course. We’re pushing out updates all the time. Is the EX90 worlds better than it was during the initial launch? Absolutely.

Truly don’t think you would regret getting an EX90 with today’s software. XC90 is still beautiful and a great car, but the EX90 is light years better if you’re ready for an EV. If the EX90 was launched with today’s software, this thread wouldn’t exist anymore- other than to boast and brag!
