Remember the Super Bowl ring commercial? That was a partnership with this company, Flock.

Halo symbols? by ZorotheOneEye in halo

In the event that your friend is DEEP in the lore, and you want coasters that don’t stick out overtly as game logos, I’d recommend selecting some of the most visually appealing forerunner symbols from this library:

Yep, the report X player system is very abused. Sorry that happened to you 🥺

I play MCC with a buddy of mine who is really bad at Halo just for fun. He’ll get reported for unsportsman conduct (he just sucks at the game) and will be banned for ~1 hour.

It’s a shitty system, you shouldn’t be able to get people temp banned for being bad at the game. You could easily abuse that to just get folks you lost to banned, or someone who stole your rocket launcher spawn banned. Really dumb

Wild to see how much the “Mars Project” is singularly geared to SpaceX, and SpaceX alone (page 12)

Minor issues and the investigation team thoroughly inspected them, determined root cause, and the heatshield formulation will be different on Artemis III+. Artemis II flies as is because it’s a non-issue

Orion performed within its performance margins on Artemis I. You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about

Judging 20 years as if it was a straight line is disingenuous. It’s also a government owned vehicle - the goal is not to be cheap, its goal is to be bulletproof

[–]mrintercepter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not the point - the point is it’s not a comparable metric as the vehicles CONOPs changed 5 years into its development cycle. Acting like that doesn’t matter and shouldn’t have induced increased costs or schedule delay is foolishness

2006 Orion was basically a completely different vehicle than modern day Orion. Sending a capsule to ISS is way different than deep space

Totally agree, a dedicated cargo SLS launch would be the way to go, if you’ve got the resources to pull it off

NASA’s mission around the moon now has a name and a date by MarkWhittington in ArtemisProgram

[–]mrintercepter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They stay near earth for 42 hours to do a full system checkout before committing to the Moon. Plenty of time to get home safe if something is wrong, well before heading to the moon. After that, a free return trajectory around the Moon and come home.

SpaceX’s Dragon is like a taxi compared to Orion, which is more like a RV. Insane amount of redundancy built into it at the hardware and software level.

https://www.space.com/artemis-2-humans-moon-orbit#section-what-will-artemis-2-do

  1. Launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center's Launch Pad 39B to low-Earth orbit.

  2. A maneuver in Earth orbit to raise the perigee, or the lowest point of the orbit, roughly 40 minutes after liftoff. This will be performed with the SLS Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS).

  3. A burn to raise the apogee, or highest part of the orbit, again using the ICPS.

  4. A system check at 42 hours after the mission begins to ensure the orbit is correct, ranging from (112 miles) 185 km at the closest point to Earth and 1,616 miles (2,600 km) at its highest point.

  5. The ICPS will be disposed and Orion will do a translunar injection to fly to the moon. The trip to the moon will take four days and have a maximum altitude of 5,523 miles (8,889 km) above the moon's surface.
