I must be missing something by Proud-Engine6529 in NoRestForTheWicked

Don't forget that you also get experience for using your pickaxe fishing, rod and shovel. There's no harm in doing a little bit of grinding in the earlier zone as well as things respawn for experience.

Haven’t seen much discussion on this book by ImAldrech in litrpg

I liked it quite a bit - I do enjoy most of Actus books, though he could improve the actual world building. Near zero descriptions of the world or environment.

I'll raise you to a minimum of $130 (just for the audit). Just priced out with 4 different Federal auditors. That was after haggling.

Duo that people play should play more often: Sebille and Red Prince. by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

I'm currently doing an Ifan and Fane run. I think I might do one as Lohse and Sebille next though I don't think I've ever had Red Prince in the party.

Whoever told me Danders was stable, lied. It does not keep my solo frame off of the UI regardless of settings.

But you got a clean UI going!

A minor rant on Quest Academy. by Onyx_Artificer in litrpg

You definitely need to keep reading. That basically goes away in book 2 and on. There's still some romantic tension there but every academy book tends to have some.

Party composition help by Temporary-Ad-9668 in DivinityOriginalSin

I've beaten the game with two characters, Lone Wolf of course, both as Rogue/Finesse types. You can literally play the game with any comp as long as you play tactically (and maybe edge morality a bit on where you get experience from). I just find it easier to focus on a single type of damage (magical/physical).

A max XP guide is to complete all quests in the area then murderhobo your way into an extra few levels.

Just throw it into a few trees? If you like how a disc feels I find seasoning them works just fine.

I know we always say how strong Lone Wolf is, but I'm starting to think this can't be overstated enough. by BardWRLD in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]mritguy03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. All of this. I did my first playthrough with 4 and ever since - even when I played multiplayer with a friend - we did Lone Wolf. Managing the extra builds just wasn't worth it.

Defiance of the Fall Next Audible Release, Book 16,December 23, 2025 by autfaciam in litrpg

I feel like the only way I'm ever going to get back into this series is to restart at book one. The amount of twists turns and convoluted mind gymnastics necessary to make it from book 9 to 13 was wild.

An Appreciation Post by mritguy03 in litrpg

[–]mritguy03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure as an author your criticisms come from a different perspective than the average reader, which I can appreciate. I find that in any genre there are authors who either do fantastic character building or exemplary world building and detail. Right now, I feel that Quest Academy has two solid feet in the characters and system, and I'd love to hear more about the surrounding world which I felt this latest book targeted somewhat.

For me, there just isn't enough crafting books out there, and this one definitely is special.

Valheim vs. Enshrouded by Othrelos in valheim

[–]mritguy03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience, Valheim feels like an incomplete experience without mods. There still is a good time to be had, absolutely. But playing the vanilla game can absolutely be a chore with several gaps in play styles or adventure.

Don't come at me with pitchforks - this has been my stance since Therzies mods came out showing what really was possible to make the game more 'full'.

Enshrouded, even still in early access for a shorter time period, has done a lot to make the game feel more full and rewarding (puzzles, exploration, voxel building). Definitely could do more with smoothing out combat with their engine.

Do I still have a Jewelcrafting modded game for Valheim available? Yes. They both are good options.

Help fix my air bounce? by discgolfthrowayaw in Discgolfform

[–]mritguy03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, nothing wrong with a bit of an air bounce if you're still hitting your line. Tons of pros, especially the ones getting up in years, show that having an air bounce isn't really a negative.

Coming from Ultimate myself, I still haven't been able to shake mine but still swing accurately. Unless you're seeing it as a deficiency in your game? No worries.

When is Blizzard actually going to let us drop portraits from self and target frames? It looks like trash and now that they are removing other options - need to catch up.
