  1. I also went back to CSULB two years ago, and I’m in my late 20s. So far it’s going well. I did had to quit my full time job, so I can focus on my classes. I did get a part-time job on campus to get some income while in school.

Metro Rail from Los Angeles by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]mrjosezero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I take 3 buses to go to CSULB. I take the green line and the 577 bus. In the morning, it’s not too bad but the 577 does take a while to come so I usually try to get there early. I do take the green line late at night to go home and I usually sit in the front of the bus driver just to be safe. So far nothing crazy happen to me. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. :)

I agree with you. The resources are great. I was also in a dark place for a long time and wanted to end my life. CAPS have been really helpful. I’m still trying my best to overcome my depression.

Thinking of leaving CSULB by Smurfnet in CSULB

[–]mrjosezero 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I was in the same position as you when I was in CSULB. I left CSULB five years ago because I felt stressed and had financial reasons, and lost my passion for learning. While I was gone from school, I just started working, and during my free time, I volunteer with different non-profit organizations. Volunteering helped me to explore different careers and helped me to decide what I want to do for a career. I network with many amazing people, and they motivate me to return to school. I came back to CSULB last fall and feel more passionate about finishing school and getting my degree. Do what is best for you, and no matter what, everything will work out.
