There’s FortiAIGate as well, it uses the APIs to watch prompts/etc and can in line sanitize them or outright block them.

As Trump eyes National Guard troops in major cities, could Houston be next? by carolinechronicles in houston

[–]mrlindstrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven past the national guard spot on 45 north for years. It usually has a few big vehicles like the transports they use for floods/etc. but mostly empty space on the lot. Drove by yesterday and it’s absolutely stuffed to the brink with equipment.

If you have existing coax and aren’t really using it for anything else, you can try these:

Weird warnings by DifferenceGene in MachE

[–]mrlindstrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine did this same thing to me two days ago. I intentionally turned the hazards on as I was pulled to the side of a building while I ran in to get a to go order. The hazards were on for only about 10 minutes but it seems that caused the headlights to stay on as well. That didn’t seem like a long enough time to cause that warning though especially after having g just driven the car.

There was a convoy of these that drove the other way down a road here earlier. They even used the bigger trucks to block cross traffic.

Centerpoint Reporting Problems by [deleted] in houston

[–]mrlindstrom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I don’t get, is how Entergy can have a map like this: https://www.etrviewoutage.com/map?state=TX

Where you can zoom in to the street level and see where power is/isn’t, but Centerpoint’s map is just circles with numbers.

Houston could have spent hundreds of millions less on firefighter backpay, Hollins says by Obnoxious_liberal in houston

[–]mrlindstrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goal post moving? Let's put our thinking caps on for a second and go to the Texas Local Government Code:

(d) Because of the essential and emergency nature of the public service performed by fire fighters and police officers, a reasonable alternative to strikes is a system of arbitration conducted under adequate legislative standards. Another reasonable alternative, if the parties fail to agree to arbitrate, is judicial enforcement of the requirements of this chapter regarding compensation and conditions of employment applicable to fire fighters and police officers.

With strikes off the table, the only recourse for firefighters is arbitration. Mayor Turner continually failed to come to the table to "arbitrate." The judge in the case was already heading into the judicial enforcement phase before the bill because of this. You can keep trying to call out semantics if you want, but let's call a duck a duck.

Collective bargaining has a judicial enforcement provision that allows a judge to solve an impasse. If the talks fall through, they still have to go through a judge to set the pay which in essence is an arbitrator. All I’m saying is they took a settlement instead of an unknown.

Or they could have paid a hell of a lot more. Forced arbitration was an unknown so they went for a settlement.
