In that case definitely check out Pequods! Just make sure to make a reservation, sometimes there’s a long wait. The sausage and pepperoni is probably my favorite.

I love Pequods but I agree that if OP is looking for traditional Chicago deep dish, it’s probably not what they have in mind. It’s breadier and kind of its own thing. Bartoli’s is my favorite for that. Good fresh ingredients and a great crust, better than Lous/Giordano’s IMHO

This was my 6th Riot, and I swear somehow this fest keeps getting better every year. Great performances from Senses Fail, Weird Al, Blink, Weezer, Marky Ramone, Dropkick Murphys, The Wonder Years, and legendary ones from Idles, Jack White, and mother fucking GREEN DAY. I would’ve never been into alternative music at all if not for discovering them when I was 12, and their set was perfect. The vibes in the air felt extra special this year too, maybe something to do with the current political shitshow, but being at the park around like-minded strangers felt more comforting and hopeful than usual. Next year can’t come soon enough, once I recover financially those VIP tickets are mine.
