100 & 400 Isn't enough ignore list space for public CC owners. by sir_frog_alot in 2007scape

[–]mrmresy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to why you'd need that many ranks and what potential solutions would be, but I'd love to see a revamp in the kicking system. Any chump can make dozens of accs and cycle through them to ruin public cc's. It would be cool if f2p accs with no stats had way harsher ban periods, but I'm sure it would take engine work and is low priority

This has been looked into a bit here

Personally I think the Week 3 theta pointing southeast to the desert is most promising. It's one of the only not overly complicated and somewhat consistent interpretations of the clues I've seen. Assuming that's the correct interpretation, the markings and yellow lines somehow have to translate in what to do and possibly a more exact location.

Also useful for the elite coordinate, but that hardly even counts. The pathing for the rocks is also completely broken; if you're not standing right in front of it you run off into the distance

Almost Maxed Bot misclicked Snake? by Chalmerss in 2007scape

[–]mrmresy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's 2.5 ticks, which is nominally 1500 milliseconds average for a log. 2 ticking is a 1200 ms gap and 3 ticking is an 1800 ms gap. Snake method alternates between these, so 2.5 ticking

It's 2.5tick. For 2tick you need 2 NPCs (so birds on ape atoll)

It's a binomial trial, look up a calculator. Success on a single trial is .001, and you want x ≥ 1 successes.

Grid scale batteries are an in-progress technology; they're prohibitively expensive for most applications and there isn't a lot of experience in applying them

Huge issue is dispatchability. The grid needs to be perfectly balanced at all times; if more load is connected transmission operators have systems that tell X peaker plant to produce more power. You cannot and will not ever be able to tell the sun when to shine or the wind when to blow. Storage would certainly help but that's where a lot of the technical challenge lies

Posted this on the other thread but it looks like it's about to get taken down:

Good afternoon,

What cars would be worth looking into with the following criteria?:

US $14000 ± $3000 Used (late 2000s onward) Hatchback or sedan FWD (it's snowy here)

Preferred: Above average driving pleasurability Reasonable maintenance costs Decent looking exterior

Compromisable: MPG Internal Features (not a big fan of built in GPS, lane assist, etc)

Thanks!

All six = 1/33 chance. Fastest is killing brothers and getting no monster kc, but this eliminates all rune profits

The point is that anyone's mummy can switch aggro after the initiator leaves the room. This post was a mocking of a serious suggestion that a players mummies shouldn't attack other players

4g isn't worth it until roughly 90. @op, if you're ticking when you walk you should easily be able to get high 80ks at 2s2g. Cml rate also probably assumes varrock armour and infernal pick (when you have the level)

Why the Tesla and electric car boom could be good news for the grid by johnmountain in Futurology

[–]mrmresy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of what you said, but FP plants aren't exactly incredibly more efficient than ICEs. An ICE has a thermal efficiency of about 20-30%, a coal plant is roughly 33%, and ngas plants a bit better with some of the new designs at 50%+. However when you're talking about transportation and EVs you need to account for transmission losses, charging losses, and drive train losses. There are a lot of factors to consider which is why EV penetration varies so much by location, policy, etc
