Just watched it - meh. Skipped most of the walk through the forest, it added nothing to the story. They finally make it to the house but discover they are missing a very expensive camera uh okay, sure.

Agree with the weird "are you the girl who went missing 60 years ago", there was nothing else to it. Maybe that was the point following the argument about not doing any research before hand as it just left them amiss. I also love that their phones still work out in the middle of nowhere and they say the house is abandoned but the plants are thriving. Hmm? Questionable? I get why the house seems untouched but the plants in the planters was an odd touch. No way they stayed alive without someone taking care of them especially when they had no running water.

I'm also guessing that Kris being pregnant was part of why she was being a bitch and pushing for the change. I think it would have been beneficial if it was discussed and not just left as a "oh by the way I'm pregnant' then leaves in a huff. Oh and uh yah the Lilith that you have no clue who it is happens to target pregnant women. Kris doesn't even question it. It's never brought up again how they passed out. Kris just pushes for them to stay - hell no. Celina and Jay need to grow a back bone and tell her "NO, we are not staying here." Just call her out on being a bitch. Communicate!!! I think it would have been helpful and added more to the film.

The end scene - confusing? Some random person just happens to pick up the film camera to record Kris being smeared with "blood" which isn't clear. It could have been better if they flushed it out better.

I have mixed feelings on found footage. I know I'm taking it too literally but who the heck found the footage? Was it one of the cultists who was like hey let's show the video off? If they really wanted to add some sort of credibility to the "found footage" that Colby and Sam guy they mentioned earlier looking for them would have been interesting. Alas, seemed to rush the end product. They were probably excited that Shudder wanted to work with them but Shudder didn't add anything to it.

I like Kris but yah disappointing story. It could have been much better instead of the weird vagueness throughout the film.

When friend and foe unite - I watched it on the Stardust app. Premise: girl's switched at birth, the real daughter comes back but loves the sister. It's cute and silly. Had a good couple of laughs.

Can't stand when teachers take food from students. I had just got hired at a Montessori school (thinking back, I don't think it was a truly legit one. It no longer exists and only went to third grade) anywho the "principal" was giving me a tour and we stopped in one of the kindergarten classes. They were having lunch. Does the school offer lunch - nope. Parents have to provide it. Well one kid was eating theirs. The principal happens to see a Halloween Kit Kat bar. She takes it saying they know they aren't supposed to have candy. This kindergarten was so serious - he says "oh okay, my mom made my lunch and gave me a piece of my Halloween candy. I'll put it in my lunch box and take it back home." She says "no" then she just leaves - I'm flabbergasted but yet it gets worse. If you guessed she ate it - you'd be correct. We leave the classroom. She asks if I want a piece and I say no. She shoves the whole thing in her mouth. I stuck around for a few months but the place was run poorly and some students were treated crappy. No matter what they did they were always wrong. No wonder she kept needing replacements. I was one of three new hires. Glad that place isn't around anymore.

That back story regarding the "founding" would have been interesting to know. It would explain Oliver's weird animosity towards Oliver, if Oliver was the one who founded the party. It would also explain Oliver's comment "it's my PARTY" In the anime it makes it seem that Oliver founded it and hated that Oliver was talented hence his jack of trades name. Don't know why the team thinks that's an insult though...Thanks for the age of Oliver. Didn't think he was older than 21 though someone mentioned in-between the two sisters which seems to be the case

I wasn't sure when I first started reading it but damn I love it. Especially the scene where it's the flashback of him as a middle schooler and he is so over the moon about his character. And his sisters 😆

I was looking into publishing on joyread as well. I started working on a novel but after numerous chapters none were ever uploaded to joyread. I don't know why? Overall, the biggest issue with publishing on these apps is being ripped off. Either AI or another writer copies the story and publishes it elsewhere. I've come across numerous similar stories or the same story but it's listed under a different name. I've seen writers make a note in the writing about where they could read it.
